I stayed for 2 nights during a business visit to Istanbul. I would say the hotel was decent and good enough for my purpose. I went there during off season, and the weather was at its lowest point, so couldn't expect much from them. Quality of rooms and service was very good at this price.

The view on the Bosporus, Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia are great from the roof terrace. Friendly and service minded staff. Its not the best and cleanliest hotel in the area, but considering the A+ location affordable prices and friendly staff its great value for money.

This is a budget Hotel very close to everything. Having a beer & a feed outside on the street - wisks you back in time, cobble stone street, constant stream of holiday makers walking up & down till the early hours. Everyone seems HAPPY. The staff & owner make you feel very comfortable. This place is situated a very short...

I stayed here as a solo traveller. The staff were amazingly helpful from the front desk to the bar. It was walking distance to most things and the guys showed me where to go on the map and helped me book a tour. I would stay here again. It was noisy but I imagine any hotel in this area would...

Wonderful place and service. 5 min. walk from historical Hagia Sofia, Topkapi palace and Blue Mosque. Very kind and helpful service. Room was clean and neat. Ideal for couples, but maybe would be little bit loud for children, due to night party life on street till 2 a.m.

Disappointed to find this hotel noisy because of the location over lively bars, etc. into the wee hours. Also didn't feel the rooms, breakfast, etc. were up to the same standards we had found after 3 weeks of travel thru various parts of Turkey staying in similar priced or cheaper hotels.

Room was really comfortable and it was clean. And most importantly, this hotel is in an excellent location - within walking distance to the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, basilica cistern. Situated smack in the middle of a chain of restaurants, good food is easily available. Breakfast on the roof is also pretty cool. However, it can get a little noisy...

We stayed here 3 nights in July 2014. The hotel and rooms were very clean, although the toilet in our room seemed to be slowly leaking water from somewhere. You should be aware that due to the historic nature of the building this hotel does not have an elevator, which I think is the norm for smaller hotels in this...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
