There were just too many issues with this place that contributed to an overall unpleasant experience. In our particular case, they first had us in a room that looked NOTHING like the pictures they showed on the website. It was dingy, cramped, and gross. The bathroom was FILLED with black mold, and the pillows and towels has brown stains on...

We visited Istanbul for the very first time and our goal was seeing the historical part of the city, so we didn't want an expensive hotel. But it had to be in the historical center. We found the prices of Subrosa Hotel very acceptable. The location is great - 5 minutes walking to any tourist location. Rooms were clean and comfortable,...

It's the best 3 stars boutique hotel with /1/ it's perfect location (2 mins of walk from Sultanahmet tram station); /2/ professional attentive personnel; /3/ hotel itself - beds are often exchanging, fancy room decorations, the right lightning, and extremely cozy; /4/ cleanness;...

Whilst searching for place to stay in the most touristic place in Istanbul, this place did not exactly jump out at us, but it not only fit to our budget, but also greatly saved our money. Of course if you are anticipating 5 stars hotel ‘s standards, you will not find them. but, hey, it is supppper-dooooper value with its...

We booked this Hotel the same day of our arrival for just 25 euro for a double room. It's gonna be the best choice for 3-4 days in Instanbul with some friends. The structure is very basic but definitely functional: central position, hot water in the shower, 24/24 hour reception and kind personnel, together with the cheapest price you could...

If you are elderly couple. .or wanting romance or some nicer facilities ..this place won't work. It is located conveniently .100mts from the sultanehmat metro..preventing long walks to hotspots. But in fine print. .this is a hostel..with smaller rooms catering for people on string budgets and single people or fancy free people. Place is not bad at all..liked it personally...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
