A very nice and well cared for hotel. Extremely close to the attractions in Istanbul. Also has nearby mini markets but be careful of which wines you select, so are old and not great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful.

Hotel was wonderful! Wanted to stay longer and I would recommend to friends and family So close to the blue mosque and palace. We backpacked from the tram and it was easy. Loved the breakfast and we would stay here again.

Very conveniently located and almost at a walking distance from all the major tourist attractions of Istanbul. its more of a guest house than a hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and a modest place. The terrace on the roof top has now been converted into a proper room, but still you do tend to enjoy the views from...

I visited Istanbul with a friend last month. We were fortunate enough to have selected this hotel. The location is perfect for seeing all the sights on your own or with a hotel arranged guide. The hotel is a small property with big service and appointment. The lobby is beautiful and filled with history. Rooms were spacious, clean and very...

Such a wonderful place and close to everything. Stayed here for a couple of days. Ahmed was exceptionally nice. Breakfast was good as well. Hotel was nice enough to arrange a shuttle to the airport. Rooms are clean. I mostly spent my time outside, but the location and the people can't be beat. Will be back again.

We booked the suite and it was awesome! We stayed two nights - just long enough to tour Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, as well as visit the Grand Bazaar. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and very well appointed, within walking distance of all the major attractions in the area, but on a...

The staff arranged our airport pick up and took great care of us for three nights. The location is perfect for walking to the Blue Mosque, Hagga Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Palace and Grand Bazaar. If you get a guide, you can do all five in a day. You will not find better service anywhere than from Ahmet, Hami and Davyt....

Landed at the International airport and had to look for our ride in the massive line-up in the arrivals hall. In addition to persons standing there, the rail holding back the waiting throngs were plastered with names of arriving passengers. We found our ride very fast, just point to your sign and somebody will come forward and lead you out...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
