The hotel is nicely positioned near most of the sites which can be reached by boat, tram and metro. The rooms are small with the normal features, the beds are great and really comfortable, bathroom is good with a great shower. The restaurant is great with good food and local wines, the views from the restaurant are fantastic at night.... More

Excellent location and excellent accommodation. I was a bit worried, the price I paid, was very cheap... At the arrival I find a nice surprise, a very comfortable hotel, new (recently renovate). I was in a single room, small but enough to stay and take the rest. Bathroom also small but clean, new and with a perfect rain shower. The... More

We had to find a place at the last minute, and were very happy to find Purl. We ended up staying longer! Great location, close to all transport and views. Friendly crew who helped us with everything we needed, and always available. And breakfast was a delicious surprise included!

Stayed here for a few nights with family and had to book an extra room which the staff were extremely accommodating, they even organised two rooms next to each other which was a kind gesture. Very clean rooms, some can be a little cramped however there is enough room for what is needed in a hotel in Istanbul, a place... More

This hotel suited me as it was great for a short trip to Istanbul. Didn't stay much in the hotel, as we were outside most of the time. Excellent location though, the Bosphorus is just minutes walking. Safe, convenient and situated right in the heart of this amazing city. Only downside, the rooms are quite small.

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
