We found the staff at the hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful, from the reception desk staff who ordered our taxis, to the waiter in the restaurant who showed our boys how to use a Turkish spinning top toy through to the staff who made up our rooms and placed our boys' sleep toys on their pillows....

Stayed here a few nights during a winter vacation stay in Istanbul. The pics are not really completely accurate. The spa area is small and feels more like a basement gym in any given apartment block. The breakfast might be holding a good Turkish standard, but from a more Western European perspective I would say it was quite a bad...

I had not stayed in this area of Istanbul as it is on the edge of the tourist area and I am a tourist but I was very pleased. It is a short walk to the tram so easy to get to wherever you want to go. There are good restaurants all around the hotel. The hotel itself was just...

Good hospitality and close to several places and in the heart of Istanbul and buffet breakfast is good The hotel is not big and not overlooking the fantastic Ultimate, but can access the tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping easily Spa free from 10:00 to 17:00 The hotel is within 100 m of the Tram Station Aksaray, which connect you to...

Travelled to Istanbul with my family, had two rooms right next to each other (one triple room and one double room). Bedrooms were very comfortable - classically decorated and of a decent size. Was also pretty clean and had good amenities. Bathroom was also very nice and modern, although the shower drain did seem to drain quite slowly... But it...

Perfect location!!! Just a short walk to the nearest tram stop and a few stops from the centre of everything for tourists to see and do. Its good for connecting to the ferry to go see the Asian side of Turkey and for visiting the famous Blue Mosque and other historic sites. The staff at the hotel are friendly and...

There were couple of issues infact more than that, first of all i think turkish are pretty friendly people, but this reception desk person was really rude, someone stole our credit card and we had to block it and they couldnt charge the money and when we arrive he was very bluntly saying that i was cancelling your booking, i...

The major reason why we stayed at this hotel was the fact that it is very close to transportation (Aksaray Metro station and streetcar lines) and is very good for its price. Free breakfast in the morning and the room minibar provides two free bottles of water. If you want a hotel that's close to the old city at a...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
