The best thing about this hotel is its location, the second best thing is its terrace with stunning views and grway breeze, the third reason is the breakfast served on the terrace. It's in the touristy heart of the city, so do not expect any frills but then it doesn't disappoint either.

We stayed here for four nights and could not be more pleased. The hotel has a very welcoming, calm feel to it as you enter the lobby, especially as Istanbul is a busy, happening place. The staff is very accommodating and kind, the room was lovely with flowers on the balcony and the breakfasts were more than sufficient to get... More

The location of the hotel is just perfect. Situated right beside the Gulhane Park, which is a few steps away from Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque , Hagia Sophia and the Underground Cisterns. Also, its really close to the Sirkeci tram and at least 5 mins walk from the Sirkeci Port where you can ride the cruise for Bosphorus. Theres a lot... More

Our host made this reservation for our team. He told us his company uses this hotel quite often. It was clean, near the water as well as public transportation. We experienced friendly service, as well as wonderful breakfasts that were included each morning in the rooftop cafe that had beautiful views of the city one one side and the Hagia... More

We stayed at this hotel for close to 2 weeks. Few notes: - Very Good Location. Walking proximity to famous Archaeological Museum, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Science Museum, Basilica Cistern. You are in the heart of the Old City. About a 20sec. walk to the tramway station. - Rooms are not too bad. Although the cleaners did not... More

From the front desk welcome to the clean & efficient room to the extensive breakfast buffet to the incredibly excellent location in the heart of things, this is a place for you. We travel a little cheap on our trips so Sude Konak was a little step up from what we're used to. The room was very clean and perfect. The breakfast was very nice, you get to taste a lot of Turc tradition and sweets. The terrasse have a nice view of Hagia Sophia up on the hill on one side... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
