We spent 6 days here and were delighted with our choice. Our room was clean and quiet; there is a great view of the Bosphorus and Sea of Marmara from the roof terrace and the staff are very friendly.

We were very lucky to find a room there in the busy week after Easter. The room was clean and had a good atmosphere, the views over an old mosque and into various private gardens was very pittoresque. The service was excellent, always friendly and helpful, and it is a place where it gets very quiet in the night, although...

We stayed in many hotels on our Turkey trip, and this is right up there with the best. The rooms are excellent (four-poster beds, dimmer switches on every light, bliss!), the staff went out of their way to be helpful. Situated in the old town so quiet, but surrounded by restaurants (good and bad) and some excellent bars. Roof terrace...

Very friendly atmosphere. Nice breakfast lounge with perfect view. Our room was small but we understand that they have bigger rooms which might be better for longer stay. The location is good with easy reach. Recommending for weekenders and young fellows

The hotel is in great location. Even it is very close to busy street, you may hear some noise but you are not in such chaos. Room is nice, the rate is acceptable. Just fits to me which I never want to stay at hotel even the weather was bad. Do not forget to bring your plug adaptors if you...

I arrived a day before my husband and I must say at first I was a little hesitant because I admit I am quite spoilt and am used to 5 star luxury so it was going to be the first time I was going to be staying at a guesthouse. As soon as I walked in the door, i met...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
