We again selected this lovely hotel because of its fantastic location. Our room was on the 5th floor facing the Blue Mosque and uninterrupted views beyond of the Bosphorus shipping ports bridges as well as Princess Island the views from the hotel are probably the best in Istanbul making for an extra bonus when booking there. Just a couple minutes...

Hello, I am glad that I have had an opportunity to give a feedback. I only wish that the owner/senior management of the hotel reads this. We checked-in on the 04th Oct for 5 nights till 09th Oct 2016 and stayed in room number 410. I and my wife are doctors, surgeon and a physician respectively, originating from India, settled...

The hotel was just a few minutes walk from the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. A lot of restaurants and shops nearby and the Grand Bazar is also within walking distance. Our room was very nice with a big glass window facing the Blue Mosque. But what we like most was the rooftop terrace where you can have your breakfast...

This property offers a convenient location to major old city sites. The neighborhood feels safe. However, there are a few things to consider. The breakfast selection is odd in comparison with other hotels. The selections are mostly either green salads with vegetables or cookies ( twenty kinds). There are three egg offerings and those pink sausage substitutes. Lacking was fresh...

We stayed as a group about a week before the attempted coup on July 2016. It was very obvious that the tourist trade was down heaps before that. The hotel itself is well presented and is located very close to the Hippodrome in Sultanahmet. Its about 5 minutes walk to the Hippodrome. Rooms have a traditional decor, looking like an...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
