A large group of us, about 25 in all, stayed for almost 2 weeks here, booking 10 rooms for an informal "family reunion". There are always special issues when trying to accommodate such a large group, and the staff did a great job, handling our last-minute changes, additions, etc in a very efficient manner. Mr Ercan Ulu was very helpful,...

I escaped this years cold British summer and spent a week in Istanbul which I truly enjoyed. This would not be possible without a comfortable accommodation. My stay at Antea Palace was one of the best experiences I've ever had as an international tourist. The management and staff were extremely kind and helpful in getting best deals on city tours,...

Our stay at this hotel was amazing. My favourite part was the food. We are like Kings and Queens. The hotel offered an abundance of cheeses, breads and other foods. The variety of food was wonderful - breakfast potatoes, meat and fruits. It was the perfect breakfast for a long day of exploring ahead. Another thing we loved most was...

We moved into Antea Palace after a very harrowing experience at Nakkas Apartments. The Front Office & Sales Manager, Mr. Ercan Ulu was very helpful. We spen 3 nights here and had a very good stay. The rooms are fresh and clean. Staff is very helpful. Specially, I would like to mention about Mr. Erdem Kaba, F&B Manager. He was...

In the middle of May 2012 I reserved a room via Hotel.de. As my questions were not answered concerning size of the room, number of beds, suitability for 2 adults and 2 children (as it was indicated as a 3-bed-room) - no response from Hotel.de and the Antea Palace Hotel, I cancelled the reservation 2 weeks later. Surprisingly, exactly one...

I spent 4 nights at this hotel with my husband and my 18 years old daughter. Altogether, not bad . Nice palace, nice room, acceptable breakfast buffet. but the location is disappointing: poor neighborhood, no sea-view as expected, the seawalk unreachable (small soccer field and railway inbetween). The pool is as small as a bathtub, the ammam never on. The...

Room was great, good balcony view. Plenty of space, a spare single bed for the kid and plenty of chairs/tables. Most of the staff were friendly and really helpful. Food was expensive (6TL for a can of coke) and breakfast wasn't great. One thing I do want to mention is on the night of our arrival after an eight hour...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
