Good location. The hotel decor is somewhat outdated and the rooms were rather dark and small. The desk staff were very helpful. The breakfast was typical turkey breakfast. I am not sure how safe it is to travel to Turkey at this time.

The Confort and cortesy during our stay are the main highlights for Efendi Hotel. Location - not far away from several touristic attractions - is also a quality of this hotel. The breakfast in the garden was a special moment.

My friend and I spent 4 days last week in Nowy Efendi- a lovely little boutique hotel tucked away in a sober quiet lane, surrounded by all the hustle and bustle you can ever imagine! Ataturk airport is 30mins away and hotel will arrange transfer at a cost of 30euros. We had travelled without families hence no kids hubbies nor...

All staff members were very nice and helpful. They took care of all are needs, we had a baby and a 3 year old child and they were kind enough to prepare food for the baby. We found the staff super friendly. Location was great and the breakfast was pretty good too. Our room was in the depths of a basement and had a pretty overpowering musty smell. When morning came you could barely tell it was light outside. Regardless we were exhausted and slept well. For friendliness and location it seemed a good value at...

Nice, quiet hotel in a good location where all the historical sites close to visit (10-15 min walk), the room is clean, cozy, comfortable bed and breakfast is varied and good. This is our second stay at the hotel and we are very pleased

Friendly workers , no parking problem, just problem that the rooms are not suitable for two or more children families means that very small then usual, but you are in centre of centre for old Istanbul.

The best part of our stay here was the help offered by the staff, especially Burcu and Melisa. They took some extra time to provide us maps, show us the most economical way to go to get to the places we were planning to visit, and the fastest way to get there. The hotel is in a very good and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
