Very nice place to stay! Affordable, nice breakfast included and friendly staff. If you like to get involved with the locals and get rid of "touristic areas" this is the right place for you. It is just a few blocks from the main attractions. Fast internet connection.

This little hotel has very good location, but the hotel was a little hard to find at first. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Nice and clean room. Just the breakfast was a little easy and boring.

We stayed in this hotel our first night in Istanbul, as you can see by the other reviews, it's not easy to find but if you follow the address you will see an unidentified door which is the entrance. The reception was as clean as the room, that was very well, and the owner was nice with us, however keep...

We have been in this small hotel for the fourth time by now, and it sure won´t be the last time: To warn you: if you expect a 5 star hotel, you will be quite disappointed, but if you need a cheap accomodation with very friendly staff, you´re absolutely perfect there. Rooms are clean, warm water any time, nice bed,...

This hotel is located in the heart of the tourist area, lots of shops and cafés near by and it is very close to all the sites but is difficult to locate at first. The staff are friendly and accommodating. A niceTurkish buffet breakfast is included served at the top of the house with views across the house tops. Very...

Yes, if you choose it, don't expect any luxury. And the hotel definitely has to put a sign on the door/wall. But once you checked in and open to explore the amazing Istanbul - you'll forget about all minuses of this budget place. They provide a really good breakfast (not the best, but good enough to wake you up and...

First, the hotel is unmarked. You have to call to find it. It wouldn't take much to put a name on the door, but that's fine. Then the room and food are a small step below average, but it's a budget hotel, so that's fine. But the staff was incompetent and unprofessional. They accidentally charged my card in lira instead...

Stayed at Ercan Inn for 4 nights during our stay in Istanbul. It was a nice place to stay. The rooms are small but nicely and modernly decorated. We enjoyed our stay here. The location is about a 10 min walk from the Blue Mosque and Ayasofya. The hotel was a little hard to find at first. Just trust the...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
