The location is amazing. You step out and you're in the heart of the city. Dormitory rooms very simple, since I was only sleeping there - no complaints. Staff was helpfull and breakfast was good. Would stay there again.

Stealers , they took my key and took my passport, money and even my flight ticket . I asked for help they were trying to seem helpfull but actually they didn't even care they were actually doubting the fact that I've lost anything . I was there puting all my trust in those people and wasting my precious holiday time...

It has a perfect location, but the rooms are really tiny, not clean at all. And you will have to hear every move outside your bedroom because it's really old. Also the service is not good at all, as a tourist the people of the guest house doesn't help. And you have to ask for clean bedsheets or a clean...

This guesthouse has many great features; the location in the shadows of the Blue Mosque is fabulous, the breakfast is plentiful, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly. We had ground floor rooms next to the reception and one of our rooms had an open hatch into the communal bathroom. Both these things meant for a lot of...

The location of this guesthouse is superb, on a quiet street off Sultanahmet Park, meaning it takes approximately 2 minutes to walk from the guesthouse to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Because of this location, you are also near the Sultanahmet Tram Station, numerous restaurants, shops, food stands, etc. I arrived too early for check in but they accommodated...

We booked a 4 nights stay at Yakamoz. We arrived quite late to Istanbul so I called them to ask for directions. There was a guy waiting for us where we asked the Taxi to take us, then we walked few meters to Yakamoz. When you enter you take few stairs down where the small lobby is. Our room was...

In general, this was a good hostel as far as hostels go. The 8-bed female room was good enough, and they even provided locks for the lockers. (The locker was only large enough for my backpack, not my suitcase.) The bathroom was a bit dirty and out of toilet paper. The price was fine and location was good (although I...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
