It was clean, breakfast was moderate and service- manners of the staff was wonderful. Only thing negative was sound insulation. All the sounds coming out of next room was very loud and we were hearing everything.

I actually stayed in 2013 but cannot put the date back but think its worth reviewing. I found the staff really friendly and went out of their way to keep us happy. Breakfast was filling and tasty and we were offered tea from the moment we arrived to when we left. Free wifi and in a great location. It's great...

Cheaper than most in the area. Very small room, although spotless. A bit run down. Rusty bathroom blinds. Very steep stairs. Good breakfast . Great location but hard to find. All we needed but a bit overpriced for what we got. Family who run it are low key but sweeg. Little English

I had to laugh at the review before me: “ONly for the seasoned low-budget traveller” - it was such a perfect encapsulation I thought I'd steal it. I agree with everything the most recent reviewer has said: great location: a 10 min walk to Blue Mosque, with restaurants on every corner around you. rooms: tiny, so tiny, one of us...

Although the hotel is ideally situated for a sightseeing in Sultanahmet area (where all the tourist attractions are), it really lacks in charm. Rooms medium or very small size (we got the small size), are clean but so noisy. You can hear everything which happens in the other rooms (2 rooms per floor). We could not pay per credit card

Great value for money. The location is great for visiting Istanbul, situated in the heart of Sultanahmet. The rooms are small but clean and the roof terace is lovely. The hosts are very nice and helpfull.

This small falmiliy run hotel is a great value for money. It is situated in the centre of the Sultanahmet district, less then 5 min walk from all the main attractions in this part of the city. Although it is in the centre, the neighbourhood is pretty quiet. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and the breakfast is solid....

We booked this hotel 5 mins before arriving at the front door on the basis it was one of the cheapest in Sultanhamet and it turned out to be a bit of a bargain. Within earshot of the Blue Mosque and a short walk to the main attractions of the Old City it makes a great base for a visit...

Small family hotel, located in the heart of Sultanhamet. The location of this hotel is great, all the sights and attractions are close (walk). The hotel is small and friendly, the staff very helpful. He told us everything we needed and arranged transportation to the airport . Breakfast was excellent, with spectacular views of the sea ,but unfortunately the same...

The hotel is nice and cozy. The rooms are small but has all basic amenities. The hotel fits the bill . The staff were very hospitable and welcoming. They helped us with few tips on local sight seeing . If you want to stay in down town and close to many visiting sites, then this is the place to stay. The...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“The rooms near the top of the building have less street noise but more noise in the morning when people are having breakfast. So if you will be going out late and getting up late ask for a room on the lower floors but if you like to get up bright and early then a higher room would be better.”
