My friend and myself went to Istanbul for our friend's wedding in her home town Istanbul. We decided to chose a hotel in the area of Taxim as that was where all the action was and it was a recommended area by our native Turkish friend's. Unfortunately, this hotel, even though is advertised as in Taxim was (as we discovered...

This a budget standard hotel. The location is in a depressive area of small textile shops and abundant traffic. Taxis don’t come here (at the front desk I was told that I will not get a taxi, because there are none available in the city). Taxis didn’t want take us back to this hotel from downtown, because of traffic. My...

Hotel is nice. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Service is very good. Food is very good. Free wifi in the room. Near good shopping area. Only 2 drawbacks. Steep streets and no taxi accepts to drive you till the hotel. Taxis drops you till osmanbay metro station which is about 10 minutes walk.

It's a typical hotel in Istanbul not very attractive but ok if you need only a rest for 2-3 nights. Unfortunately it's far from historical city-on the other side of Golden Horn. But you can go to Taksim plaza for shopping. I recommend it only for a short holiday 2-4 days.

Difficult to find it in the narrow streets, but very close to Metro Osmanbay, and not a far walk from the main square Taksim. A quiet and clean place, where you can rest in this busy city, and with a good breakfast.

the hotel is situated smack in the middle of the textile district, A bit hard to find the first time but in reality 5 mins away from Osmanbay metro station and 10 minutes away from the Amerikan Hospital. Hotel is remarkably quiet at night even though it is in the town centre. Rooms are quite small but clean and well...

Hotel Vision is a small hotel situated near Metro station OsmanBay. You have to walk 10 minutes from the hotel to the main street where is Metro station OsmanBay. By walk, you will be at Lutfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Centre for about 25 min, and to the famous Taksim Squarer, you will have to walk about 45 min. If...

I stay with my wife in this hotel during the month of May (May 1 -> 7 May 2013). We spent our stay in the double room No. 206. We booked on the internet: 86 euro per night (includes breakfast) This is a very good hotel and it deserves 4 stars. At first I had doubts about VIZON because there...

Hotel is in new part of Istanbul. Quite in the night. Location is difficult to find. Steep streets. It's location is where people live. Hotel is very clean. Friendly staff. Wouldnt recommend with kids. Sauna and Turkish baths were free to use and really nice. A shame about the pool. Really nice relaxation place and cheap.

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.
