There are simply not enough superlative adjectives to describe my experience at the Hotel Albinas. The reception staff welcomed me with a bright smile and a cold beer. Described the property and amenities and gave me a local map along with information on the must see sights and suggestions for activities during my stay. My room (107) was well appointed...

Excelent attention, not noisy, clean, great location just five min walk from the Blue mosque and from the tram. Varied buffet but a bit repetitive. You can also arrange the transport to the airport for 25 euro. Sultanahmed is a mixed area new and old fashion, where the most important mosques and the Topkapi palace are situated. There are also...

Leaving for a few weeks at a time, for myself is a mix of emotions. The good part is jetting off to the sun whilst without a doubt the bitter part is leaving for home again once you have settled in to such a fantastic hotel. We feel truly blessed to have found Albinas Hotel whilst in Istanbul. It is...

Great hotel. Excellent service. Great location. This is a cozzy, nice and pleasant hotel. The room is not large, but, despite having been near a stairway, is very quiet. The location is another positive point. From the hotel is possible to go on foot to places like the Aya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cistern, Topkapi and others. Another good point is...

We stayed in the Albinas Hotel Old City for nine nights in early January 2013, taking advantage of the discount rates on their website which included breakfast. We were given room 201 but found the continuous hum from the aircon units outside a little annoying (not that loud, but we found it annoying) so we asked if we could be...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
