We stayed 36 hours on this hotel, good breakfast, friendly atmosphere, not a noise at night, comparing to price this hotel is the first one which I gave full number. You can acces so many places with tramva and metro, just buy "an istanbul card" Here is a picture of Fouad the manager. And it have a good access to... More

Hotel is a small, charming and slightly quirky place in a tiny side street about 5 mins from the prime area to get to all the main sights in the Old City, as well as a good shopping and restaurant street. Friendly helpful staff, great Turkish breakfast. The rooms are tiny, which is a norm in Europe and will surely... More

We spent 3 nights here at the end of October. Minel is ideally situated in Istanbul's historic old town, and provided a great base for our city break. The staff were really friendly and the breakfasts were made fresh each morning in epic proportions! The room was small but very clean, and the bathroom was fitted to a surprisingly high... More

This nice little hotel is ideal for a couple or for a couple of friends who would like to visit the historical part of Istanbul. The rooms are small but nice and clean, however the location makes the place quite noisy (tram passing by, people shouting on the street, etc). The staff was very nice, always smiling and with good... More

Very good location, very close to the Palace, Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
