Was impressed with the hotel. Comfortable, clean rooms. Super friendly and helpful staff especially Cesar. Breakfast was nice, fresh and healthy. Location is excellent being almost right on hippodrome square, minutes from Blue Mosque, walking distance to grand bazaar and topkapi palace and other sites. Loads of places to eat all round. I would recommend this hotel if visiting Istanbul.

Clean room, cleaned daily. Comfortable bed. Breakfast continental. Very accommodating staff who couldn't do enough for us. Very good local knowledge and helpful in arranging days out. Walking distance to blue mosque. I felt very safe and the airport transfers were a big help. If you want somewhere to stay that has a good location and a reasonable price, come...

Perfect for the first time visitor as really near all the main tourist sites. Simple rooms, standard Turkish breakfast plate ie: cheese olives tomatoes etc - coffee machine - no buffet. Very helpful friendly staff, clean. I have just returned from a very pleasant five night stay, I'd recommend the Hotel Sultan House for singles or couples.

Staff were the kindest we have come across and the service was much better than the so called 5* places we've stayed at around the world. Was 2mins walk away from the Blue Mosque which was a bonus. Located minutes from the hippodrome, this hotel had spacious rooms and was clean. Staff were friendly and obliging which was most important. Bathroom was small and needed few improvements and convenience store and cafe just nearby. Noisey in early morning as college nearby.

This place is perfectly located in Sultanahmet. It's a small guest house with clean rooms and very helpful staff. Ramazan was very helpful and arranged collection and drop off to the airport so I had nothing to worry about. Provides a decent breakfast, would definitely stay again.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
