The perfect location for a city break in Istanbul. Steps away from key attractions like Blue Mosque, within walking distance from grand bazaar and spice bazaar. You can also get easily on the tourist port for Bosphorus trip or ferry crossing to asian side and a taxi station is 20m away. There are several small hotels in the area, this...

We travelled as family of four comprising two adults and two teenagers. The family room was perfect for us. It had a kingsized bed and two singles. It was clean and comfortable. The shower was fine and we had maid service with clean towels every day. There is a hairdryer, safe and a/c. The breakfast was great and is served...

As a family of 4 we stayed 5 days in the Esans hotel and enjoyed our stay very much. It all started with a quick and to-the-point reply to my questions by e-mail before making the reservation. As we stayed 5 nights Esans arranged a free transfer from the airport to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful....

We stayed four nights in a spacious room for four. Hotel has only eight rooms, so its a really personal. Really warm friendly and helpful staff, great location on a quiet side street just below the gate to the Tokkapi, very clean rooms, and a lovely Turkish breakfast spread, freshly squeezed OJ, and pancakes. Highly recommended!

This is truly a wonderful little hotel, perfectly situated within walking distance of the main tourist attractions (Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Blue mosque...). But what really makes Esans stand out is the warmth and friendliness of the entire staff. They manage to create a home-away-from- home atmosphere and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel facilities are very good, with spacious...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
