With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

When we turned up we was given a temporary room on the first floor and as mentioned the basin was right next to the bed and the shower and toilet was split of from the bed via a glass wall, it was alright but i didn't like it, we then asked to be moved to the top floor rooms and these were lovely, the shower and basin are in a different room and i couldn't not fault this room at all, it even had a balcony which is nice to sit and relax.
So i would definitely recommend the top floor rooms rather than the one you've described.

Breakfast was included in our rate so I don't know. Before the stay I emailed reception (address on website) with a different query and got a very quick and thorough reply. There are a lot of restaurants around and I'm sure most do breakfast - and the prices are extremely low by British standards. I've only had breakfast in coastal restaurants in Turkey and it is always delicious and varied.
Enjoy your trip.
