I spent 5nights in there. The hotel reception were really kind and warm. They always told to us and gave tips for sightseeing. The room wide was enough to stay alone, but closet is quite small. It's not enough for long stay. Location is nice,we can go to Blue mosque,Ayasofya, anywhere easier. I brought... More

We stayed at the Saba Sultan Hotel for three nights in February. Its location is close to all of the main sights but in a quiet side street. Restaurants of all types are also within a short walking distance. Our room was on the second level facing the sea (seen across the rooftops). The 24-hour reception staff were English-speaking and... I stayed just one night here but will definitely return if/when I next come to Istanbul. The location is fantastic - down an atmospheric side street very close to the major sights in Sultanahmet. The room was beautiful, modern, clean and well appointed. Very comfy bed. They have a great terrace with views over the Bosphorus. Magnificent. And a generous... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
