I recommend that you check out the hotel website to see if any promotions are being offered before looking at the 3rd party sites such as booking.com. For my booking, the hotel was offering a free airport transfer to or from Ataturk if you stayed 4 nights or more. They also offer a 5% cash payment discount. The staff at...

We stayed 3 nights in this charming, converted home. The front desk staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a cook in the morning to make eggs in most styles, as well as all the usual items. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is located on a quiet street very close to...

Stayed in the Hammam room for 2 nights when we first arrived in Istanbul. Room was clean and spacious. Enjoyed using the private Turkish Bath after a long day of siteseeing. Very well situated to visit the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace. The staff were friendly and ernest. However, they had difficulty with giving recommendations for local restaurants...

We stayed at Hotel Seraglio for 9 nights in late June 2011. Due to our length of stay we were entitled to a free airport transfer. From the moment we landed in Istanbul to the second we left, Hotel Seraglio and its staff did everything they could to ensure our stay was enjoyable and hassle-free. Firstly it is perfectly located...

We stayed at Istanbul Seraglio for three nights at the end of July and the area was really nice, full of nice restaurants. The hotel room (304) was new, had a very spacious bathroom and shower and great AC (it was hot in Istanbul!). People at the hotel were very nice and helpful. Would stay there again if we come...

We recently visited Istanbul and one of the best decisions for this trip was to book at Seraglio. The location is excellent (minutes away from Blue Mosque), Hotel is spotless, Great food and shisha (waterpipe) but by far this hotels greatest asset is its staff. The entire team was very friendly and welcoming throughout my week stay. They assisted with...

The staff at the desk was excellent, providing advice and commentary when requested. Great location, particularly if this is your first time in Istanbul and would like to see the key sights — for instance, Seraglio Hotel is just 5 minutes' walk from the Blue Mosque, and easy walking distances to Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Good selection at the...

Hotel Seraglio is perfectly located, very near the main monuments but in quiest and pleasant street. The rooms are very confortable and spacious. However, the best thing is the friendly atmosphere of the hotel itself and its nabourhood. It was really enjoible to get back after one day of exploring Istanbul. Everyone in the hotel is friendly and very helpfull....

The hotel wasn't the easiest to find (even for the taxi driver), but it is very close to the Blue Mosque and AyaSofia. There are lots of shopping and eating opportunities nearby. The staff speaks English well and are very helpful. The free internet in the lobby worked well. The cafe is rather small but the food was very good....

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
