I spent 2 nights here and it is a fantastic hotel!! The location is perfect. So close to the blue mosque, hagia Sophia and topkapi palace. Also walking distance to the grand bazaar and tram line. The surrounding area has heaps of great places to eat out. The room itself was lovely and modern with a large window. The service...

This review is a little late, my husband and I stayed here in May for our honeymoon. We received excellent advice from the front desk regarding places to go siteseeing, the timings of places, restaurants to eat at and generally good tips on what to do. The breakfast was great and very lavish, we used to really fill ourselves up...

Our family of four (mum dad, 8 year old and toddler) had the most wonderful stay over five nights at Hotel Seraglio. The staff greeted us near midnight with hot tea and small gifts for our tired children, and we had the ground floor room with private courtyard. Just lovely. Breakfast is delicious, the location is easy walking distance to...

No matter whether you're a first-timer or a regular visitor to Istanbul, Hotel Seraglio is the place to stay. This hotel is in the SultanAhmet area and within an easy stroll of restaurants, shops, Blue Mosque and other sites in the area. The hotel is quite new and the rooms are clean and well-serviced. However, the best quality of this...

The location was central to everything including the local attractions of Sultan Ahmet, as well as a short train ride to the Galatti Bridge and Grand Bazaar. The breakfast available was enjoyed every mourning and the afternoon tea and coffee was great too. Chose the hotel based upon the exceptional reviews, and it lived up to expectations and more. Excellent location, comfortable room with excellent facilities for a small family run hotel, generous and varied food for breakfast (especially omelettes made to order) and friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. Thanks to Kenan in particular for his warmth, humour and guidance on what to...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
