The location of the hotel is fantastic, within walking distance to everything in Sultanahmet. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and do go out of their way to try and make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were pretty disappointed with the size of the rooms given the price but you are definitely paying for the location....

Visited this hotel in September for 3 nights in a party of 6. We booked directly with the hotel and communications were excellent. On arrival, lots of information was provided including maps of the area and we were shown up to our rooms which were all of a high standard. Everything was clean and in good order and the breakfasts...

I usually don't write reviews b/c I am very lazy but I decided to specifically create a Tripadvisor profile to tell you about my experience at Agora Life Hotel. I spent 4 days in Turkey for my honeymoon. At the airport security, on my way out of Tukey, I quickly realized that I did not have my cell phone (Samsung...

Perfect location to access Sultanahmet...five minute walk to the major attractions and tons of restaurants. The rooftop views are fantastic. The staff went out of their way to help us plan our stay and make sure we were happy. The breakfast was outstanding. Also, we received a gift upon arrival and departure which we thought was very thoughtful. We had...

The location of this hotel was great - right in the centre of the old city but tucked away on a quiet street. The breakfasts were good and there's a lovely terrace further up the building, with great views of the Aya Sophia and Blue Mosque. We were quite disappointed with our room, however, which was on the ground floor...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
