I booked this hotel due to the proximity to local attractions. I was arriving early in the morning so I contacted the manager ahead of time and he was very accommodating allowing me to check in very early. The rooms are small but clean, it comes with a mini fridge stocked with soda and a few beers. They have local...

Love this hotel, great location! This time I travelled with our immediate family. There were 4 of us and a toddler. We took the 2 suites on the 4th floor and it worked out perfectly. My son and I celebrated our birthday's while we were there. We both had delicious surprise birthday cakes presented to us.... yummy. As always the...

While our room at the Agora was compact, it had a very close view of the Hagia Sofia and was clean and modern. The location on a little side street meant for quiet nights. The breakfast was quite nice and the staff really worked on its presentation. To our great pleasure there was good western coffee. The big plus for...

The room was moderst in terms of size, but our room comes with access to a large shared balcony facing the Hagia Sophia. The view is amazing. The english speaking staff are friendly and are very helpful. Location is almost perfect. 5 mins walking distance from all the historical sites. Near tram stations. Easy access from the airport.

We stayed at the Agora Life Hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is very clean, linens were lovely and many thoughtful items were placed in the room (fruit, water, toiletries, sewing kit, shoe shine, etc). The hotel is located in the old town section of Istanbul which makes walking to many of the major attractions (the Blue Mosque, Spice Market,...

We loved the superb service and the roof top views are spectacular. Breakfast is a challenge if you don't like cheese, luckily I do. The location of the hotel is superb as is the service, the manager greets you and answers all your questions.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
