Good (a lot): - Very good price-quality relationship most of the days (the room price is much higher on weekends) - Very close to the top attractions (Topkapi, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the cistern) and to the tram stop. - Modern and clean, the room was very nice and the bathroom was completely new. - The owner asked us...

Somedays we're fully booked or we have only 1 room availability, so in order to prevent overbooking we make high rates. That was the logic behind this difference of the rates. About the elevator; it should be a temporarily smell maybe because of some luggage or I don't know, normally our elevator doesn't smell. Thank you for your feedback, we'll...

This is a great choice in a small street close to most attractions in Istanbul. Nice clean room, good bed and pretty much all you need. Complimentary water, coffee/tea etc. Good breakfast. Very serviceminded at front desk. Highly recommended.

I was extremely happy with the Hotellino. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, etc etc. Also only 2 blocks from a very convenient tram which will take you wherever you need to go for 2 TL. My room on the 4th floor was as nice as any $100+ room in the USA....

An excellent shower and delicious breakfast should be the key elements because it requires lots of energy to see and explore in Istanbul :)) We're truly happy that you've enjoyed your stay, we'll be even more happier if we can welcome you for the second time. Thank you.

I spent three nights in this nice little hotel last October. It is very conveniently located, between the Sirkeci and Gulhane tram stops (you can use either) and close to the Sirkeci train station and ferry piers. You can walk to most of the sights on this side of the harbour if you don't mind walking. I arrived late at...

Well I'm very very glad that finally our website became useful about directions, it was my idea to create a 'how to get' page :)) Your discomfort about the neon sign has been well noted, we'll try to figure a solution. Thank you for the helpful feedback, hope to welcome you another time.

If you are a seasoned traveler, I challenge you not to like Hotellino. Great location close to Hagya Sofia, Blue Mosque, Cistern, Topkapi, Grand Bazaar; cute and well provided little rooms, spotless and modern bathrooms, very reasonable rates, and above all, an owner - Mine - who truly enjoys helping clients appreciate the city and taking time to make sure...

We spent two nights there on our way back from Indonesia to Europe. The reason we chose this hotel was its location, because we wanted to visit all the Sultanahmet attractions in a relatively short time and we didn't regret. Even we arrived in early morning hours, the receptionist gave us a warm welcome. It's a small but very pleasant boutique...

Returned yesterday from 4 nights at this lovely boutique hotel in Sirkeci in the old part of Istanbul. The last visit to Istanbul was 15 years ago so was keen to re-visit. The flight with Easyjet into Sabiha Gokcen Airport was superb. Then the Havas bus into Taksim and a bus then down to the waterfront opposite Sirkeci Station and...

I stayed at the Hotellino twice and each time was lovely. While the rooms are small, they are clean, fine, quiet and have wonderful soaps, free water, etc. for guests. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. It was very conveniently located to many restaurants and sites - extremely walkable. We had a lovely time at this hotel and...

Want to thank the owner for all her help and suggestions and all the staff who were friendly, professional and always keen to offer advice. The Hotel is very central just 5 minutes walk from the Station and 10 from the ferry boats. Istanbul is a megalopolis much changed in the 15 years since I last visited. Confident, busy, with...

Although this review is well overdue, I had to put my word of support toward Hotellino. Staff are great, helpful, friendly and considerate. I dont think the owner can be any more helpful... if so i think she would escort you around Istanbul!!! Youare brilliant.... Breakfast is great, the only problem is that with so much to choose i think...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
