The worst experience ever!!! It's located in a very popular place of Istanbul, but the hotel itself is not worth it. Rooms are old, dirty and small. Staffs are not much polite and welcoming. totally, it is not a good place to stay, especially for a long time journey

An old hotel, in desperate need of renovating, but the location at the old city center makes it up for them. One of the problem is the mosque tower, from the Laleli mosque, that's to close to the hotel, and prayers wake you up every single morning at 5 am.

We were there in winter 2012 and being there was disappointing. The rooms were dirty and every where was full of rubbish. One day a mouse came to our room and ate our nuts!!!! And it even went to our friends room and ate a part of his shawl!!! Imagine how was our trip. .. the receptionists couldn't speak english,even...

I wouldn't say it was a bad experience at all. We were only there for 4 days for a quick retreat. Very basic hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily, free and good internet, helpful and friendly staff, and mediocre but not bad free breakfast. All in all it was a good experience considering how cheap this hotel is and how...

It's a nice, cozy place, in the middle of the busiest area of Istanbul. Clean rooms, friendly staff, convenient location for whole sale shoppers. Different type of restaurants, coffee-shops in walking distance.

Good for tight/budget traveler. Room is ok, not so fancy. The bellboy is helpful even though they have difficulty in speaking English. Breakfast is always the same. Not too bad..The best part of the hotel is that it is near to Grand Bazaar.. Just a 10 minutes walk. Also, it's only 3 mins walk to get to the Tram Station...

We bought the deal to Istanbul through holiday factory and the moment we checked the reviews of the hotel we didn’t want to take a risk and stay in this hotel. The pictures travelers have updated were beyond horrible. We even planned to rent out an apartment because the reviews were so bad. But somehow we convinced ourselves that the...

Very basic hotel in Istanbul's commercial area. Accessible to public transportation, although I will recommend walking if you want to see more of the city. We arrived a little after lunch time and had the basic handover of passports in exchange for the room key. Receptionist was quite nice to us. My friend and I had a twin-sharing room on...

Very rude and disrespectful staff. if you don't allow them to overcharge you they will go crazy on you. The Receptionist Threatened us to keep our passports because we refused to pay him for something we didn't order. the bell boy refused to take our bags to the car upon check out. he had to argue with the guide and...

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
