By far the best hotel. Its location is right in the center of Old City, close to all the historical sites. The service and staff are great, very helpful and friendly, always wiling to provide the best service and hospitality! The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. You can eat a delicious breakfast while enjoying an amazing view to the...

This homely and impressively comfortable place was recommended to us by one Irish friend who had stayed here previously. From the time we arrived at Osmanhan until the day we left we enjoyed every single moment of our 9 days' stay in Osmanhan (and due to this hotel the city of Istanbul) as the location of this rather small, very...

I spent five nights at the Osmanhan Hotel in January 2017. The hotel is a bit of a story in itself. It is very small with only 7 rooms and a penthouse dining area including a sensational rooftop terrace. If you are a Novotel/Sofitel 5 star type person this place would not be for you. However if you like your...

We couldn't have been more pleased with this cozy little hotel right in the heart of the Old City. All the major sites are within an easy walk and the owner (Hamit) and manager (Celal) were incredibly hospitable and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and the view from the roof top terrace is fantastic. Our room was a bit small but...

1st class hospitality ! We spent a month in Europe and the Osmanhan Hotel was one of the most impressive stays we had. They take very good care of you, the staff will accommodate whatever you need. Very warm and friendly. Fabulous breakfast every morning on the top floor looking out over the sea.

We could not have been happier about our stay in this tiny hotel, located about 300m from the Blue Mosque and within easy walking distance of several other major sights in Istanbul. The staff were all delightful - nothing was too much trouble for them. Our room was small but extremely comfortable, with everything supplied that one could possibly need,...

We found every detail with the hotel extremely clean, luxurious and top quality really. Rooms are spacious. Having breakfast on the roof with an astonishing Bosphorus view is priceless. We stayed at the Osmanhan Hotel for 1 night. We didn't arrive till late and left very early. The staff were very accommodating and gave good advice for somewhere to eat. The English speaking member of staff came in early in the morning so that he could order us a taxi to the ferry port. They gave us sandwiches to...

Stayed here at the end of 2016 with a friend on a stop off on our way to Cyprus. The hotel was ideally situated for sightseeing in Istanbul and we received a very friendly welcome from all the staff. Highly recommended.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
