The best location with view of Hagia Sophia, a tram stop round the corner but calm place. Wide choice of traditional Turkish restaurants around. The best experience was very helpful and friendly staff!

My partner and I were in the hotel for 9 days, it was just what we needed, less than 10 min walk to the blue mosque, pretty close to the grand bazar and tram station, so you won't have to worry about transportation. We had an amazing room on the 3rd floor, very clean, spacious and had an amazing view,... More

It's a no frills hotel with an unbeatable location. The staff was a touch moody but again, you're not at a 5 star hotel. My travel partner and I had a nice clean room with a tv where we watched some sort of German soap opera at night after visiting the key landmarks. The landmarks, by the way, are a... More

Anadolu hotel has a great position very close (approx. 100 metres) to Aya Sofia and Sultanahmet Place. The stuff was very nice and always helpful and the price really reasonable in relation to provided services. There may occur a small problem with low pressure of hot water once your are living on the highest floor (and the wi-fi signal may... More

My mother, husband, and I stayed at Anadolu for a total of 4 nights, and we absolutely loved how centrally located the hotel was to all major attractions. Despite the location, the rooms were pretty quiet. The young men at the front desk were helpful and the man and wife, who we called Papa and Mama were so sweet to... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
