I travel and review very regularly and always give a fair review of every place because I appreciate other peoples opinions when making choices during my travels. We (my partner and I) arrived into Istanbul via the overnight train from Sofia at just after 6am. After getting extortionately ripped off from the taxi driver we arrived at Nayla Palace at...

Not the largest rooms I've ever seen, but the location is great, there's strong wifi, and the owner was very helpful on multiple occasions (including free food and tea after a late night exploring Istanbul's nightlife). Clean sheets and a good breakfast are all that I need, and this place provided it.

My husband and I recently returned from 10 days in Istanbul and we stayed at Nayla Palace. The owner of the property, Mr. Azman, was always on hand when we returned from our day of sightseeing and was eager to make sure we had a good day and that everything in our room was satisfactory. He was also very happy...

We stayed at Nayla for six nights in April. It's economically priced, so we didn't expect luxury. What we got, was a marvelous location, on a quiet street just a few blocks from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Our room had a view of the Sea of Marmara. We got a warm welcome every time we came home from...

I selected this hotel for its location, having smoking rooms, tea/coffee facilities in the rooms and for its stated charm. I was disappointed. There are no smoking rooms, just chairs in the street and no facilities for making drinks in thr rooms although one room had a kettle, another 2 cups. My room had no television, no facilities for hanging...

We have spend some nights on several occasions (in season, out of season, in winter, ...) in Nayla hotel. The breakfast room is small but everything is fresh and tasty and plenty. When the weather is nice, you can have breakfast on the top roof terrace with a view of Bosphorus. Our room was pretty, the water of the shower...

Based on the reviews we booked a 4 night stay at this place. It ruined our stay in beautiful Istanbul. On arrival, no rooms were available, so we got a "garden room" in the basement for 1 night with a 10 Euro pice reduction, and a promise that we will be transfered upstairs to a " nice room" the following...

I stayed at Nayla from Dec 27th to 29th and enjoyed my stay. The hotel owner Qadeer is very helpful and speaks fluent english which really helps. He guided us on places to eat and how to schedule our day. We had the family room which had a double and two single beds. I was traveling with wife and two...

After lots of research we chose to stay at the Nayla Palace. It's exactly what we were looking for: budget prices, great location, clean rooms, good sleep. It was VERY helpful that the owner spoke perfect English too. Our room had a private bathroom en suite and I was surprised at how comfortable the bed was. We slept great! We...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
