Spent four nights in the Adamar in august, service was exceptional! Our room was on the small side but was newly redecorated and spotlessly clean! The service especially from the manager was far better than some so called five star hotels have stayed at. Location is excelent and just a few hundred meters from the blue mosque/ hagia sofia, but...

My stay at Hotel Adamar was absolutely delightful. I visited Istanbul with a large group of students from DC and I was surprised at how well received and organized the staff was. For the price, Hotel Adamar offers arguably one of the best views of the city at night and one of the most comprehensive Turkish breakfast buffets in the...

It is besides the Basilica cistern, only 50 m from (Santa) Hagia Sophia and the tram stop, and 100 m from the Blue Mosque. You can walk from the hotel to most touristic attractions in the old Istanbul. Its panorama terrace offers great views all over the Golden Horn and its surroundings. From this point of view, much better than...

We spent 3 days in Istanbul before a cruise and one day upon our return 12 days later. We booked the Adamar based on Tripadvisor reviews and were pleased that it was even better than we expected. Took advantage of the airport pickup that is complementary with a 3-night stay. Ataturk Airport has one of the best arrangements I have...

Hotel in fantastic position, near all the places to visit. Rooftop terrace is a must, we spent hours up there just takimg in the atmosphere and the view. Food is very good as well. Hotel staff very helpful. Rooms lovely, clean and spacious (we had 3 people in a room and it was ample). Plenty of restaurants to walk to...

We were in Istanbul on our own before joining a tour. We had picked the Adamar because of the good communication with the manager, great location and price. Transportation was provided from the airport with a three night stay and it was good and on time. One of the rooms I booked was small but much like large cities over...

The location was walking distance to most of the major sights in Sultanahmed. It is also close to a tram stop, restaurants and shops. The rooms were small but comfortable. Transportation from the airport was included when you reserved for 3 nights. Views from the rooftop restaurant were thrilling. We were allowed to leave our luggage in the hotel's locked...

This was my third visit to Istanbul and my second stay at the Adamar and I was not disappointed. I booked this hotel again because my stay last time was so enjoyable. Other than some of the hotel staff changing since 6 months ago, you will not be disappointed. The rooms were just as nice and the service was just...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
