I stayed at this hotel for about 12 hours during the transit in Istanbul. Turkish airlines provided transportation from and to the airport. The hotel is nice and well decorated. The room size is fairly spacious. The check in was fast and same for the check out. The area around the hotel is nothing special. There're some construction going on...

We actually live in İstanbul but after weeks of oppressive heat and barely able to function, we escaped for two days to the Laleli Gönen. There we found a lovely room, wonderful views from the terrace, a perfect little pool, helpful and friendly staff and a great location. I hadn't heard of this hotel before I found it on the...

Invited to a wedding in Istanbul, reservations was made for me at the Gönen Otel in Laleli, Istanbul. Once found (due to one-way streets), the hotel turned out to be a hidden tresure. The staff is very professionel and eager to take good care of their guests. Placed central and in walking distance for many turist attractions,eg. the Grand Basar....

Close to the city highlights , easy reachable by tram, lies this relatively small hotel, where guests are treated as guests. The staff will help you in any way possible. The room is small but offers everything you need, including airco, TV, and Wifi. And what is better than enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool on the roof, and...

Clean and comfortable hotel. Good facilities Only downside is the walls are a little thin and you can hear lots of noise from people walking down the hallways.

Staying in Grand Bazaar

Neighbourhood Profile
Grand Bazaar
Tourists, hawkers, and locals come together at the Grand Bazaar to comb its labyrinthine passageways in search of a bargain – be it a pair of brand name jeans, a handcrafted silk rug, or a perfectly brewed cup of tea. Outside the vast bazaar, worn, narrow streets wind their way down from its lofty perch to the southern shore of the Golden Horn, where the evocatively aromatic Spice Bazaar beckons alongside the elegant New Mosque (opened in 1665). Nearby, the famed Galata Bridge offers pedestrian access to urban delights across the river in Istanbul’s more residential and contemporary neighbourhoods, while the must-see sights of Sultanahmet are but a leisurely stroll away.
