I had 5 separate stays of a total of 9 days during my recent holiday in Uzbekistan. As other reviewers have stated, its in a great location i the centre of Tashkent . It forms a backdrop to Amir Temur Park, walking distance to theatres, metro, museums, PO., staff are mostly very helpful, the level of English is more than...

Hotel Uzbekistan has the name, the history, the location and a very friendly professional staff. The only thing it lacks is a makeover. The rooms, and facilities are still 1980s standard. This hotel could be an amazing 5 star hotel if it were renovated. My stay was pleasant nonetheless, I will not focus on the negatives and instead I will...

Stayed there for 10 days. Took a single room.. The room was very small and no Wi-Fi in the room. Had to come to lobby everytime for Wi-Fi. The food was kind of OK but no much varieties. The only advantage was the location. Situated in the centre and near to the beautiful garden and the park.

This hotel is in a great location for walking in Tashkent. Lots of breakfast choice, friendly and helpful staff, decent wifi and some of the rooms are really big. The only downside was that someone had clearly been smoking in our room previously.

This is a large grand former Soviet hotel that is well located and an average place to stay. Breakfasts are good and the appearance good in the foyer. The challenge is that due to its age there is not much capital expenditure happening which may not be apparent when you read reviews. The main problem we had was the ancient...

I enjoyed my stay here, it is a soviet edifice, but quite a nice one and in an excellent position in Tashkent. The porters are good, the reception was fine, the dining room is an awesome ballroom kind of place. The concierge is brilliant. You'll struggle to get extra towels from the housekeepers. The 24 hour cafe and ATMs near...

It's right on Amir Timur Square with the metro a few steps away. Great views from the top floor restaurant. Whilst the food wasn't bad, the prices were very reasonable compared to some of the 'trendier' places.

This hotel should not even be called that. The airconditioning does not work. The beds are rock hard, never ever felt a bed as hard as this. Cockroaches in the bathroom. Pigeons and birds fighting outside the window. Food is shocking, better to starve. Shop in lobby is a rip off. Nothing positive to say at all.

Very nice hotel, centrally located near Amir Temur Square, Independence Square & many other monuments. Right on the metro (stop is right out front). Nice, clean rooms, some with balconies, wifi in lobby and sometimes available in the rooms. Humongous breakfast included, laundry available and small cafe on premises and bar/restaurant on top floor with nice view. Staff is helpful...

I have spent in this hotel three nights. I think this was my luck. The hotel is located in the very center of Tashkent. It is the best place to visit all attractions of Tashkent. Just a few steps from the hotel there is MRT and for a few pennies one can get to almost every place in Tashkent. There...
