We are a family of 4 (two adults and two children) who stayed here in January 2020. The hotel reception staff were very helpful and friendly (especially Vas at reception) and the location of the hotel was very convenient for our 2 night stay in Colombo. Overall, it is a decent hotel and the rooms are clean. It is good value for money and although the facilities (including breakfast) were very basic, it was more than adequate given the price.

The hotel had very helpful staff who assisted me with our travel itinerary. Room had great facilities and was very clean and well presented. Located directly opposite a super market also. stayed here twice on separate occasions during my holiday and they allowed me to store luggage for a week for a very low price. Very happy traveler...!

I have stayed at Ivy Lane Colombo for nearly two months and I am so happy I found this place. This seaside establishment is conveniently located, close to the downtown areas and many tourist attrations, at a great price. The staff team is amazing; they're hospitable and incredibly helpful. The room interiors are decorated in a simple manner, but they're tidy, generally spacious and cozy to stay. Though it's a pity that there's no minibar in the rooms and the wireless network could have been improved, staying at Ivy Lane Colombo has been a satisfying experience, and I would highly recommend this place to all, in particular to those traveling on a limited budget.

This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed in The staff were speaking very rudely without any respect and the staff were very irresponsible . Room: the rooms smells worst we told to the staff and nobody responded and the rooms also wasn’t clean . Breakfast: the breakfast was not worth it for the money and they would give uncooked noodles and eggs Service:I’ve stayed in hotel for 4 nights and nobody asked us for cleaning the room when we go give the keys for cleaning they would say we will clean it but it never happened . Wifi: every 24 hours they are changing the password and the signal of the wifi is also not good.

I visited Ivy Lane in Colombo in June and had an exceptional experience, deserving a full 5-star rating.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the entire establishment. The rooms were spotless, and the common areas were well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
What stood out the most during my stay was the helpfulness of the staff. Every staff member I interacted with went above and beyond to ensure my stay was pleasant and hassle-free. Their friendly and professional demeanor made a significant difference in my overall experience.

Ivy Lane is a unique boutique hotel and no other in its category can beat it. Rooms are clean and spacious, complementary breakfast is just what you need to give a good start of the day, the restaurant has a wide range of tasty foods with reasonable price, staff are excellent with good command of English, I can go on... I visit Colombo often for business trips and this is my first choice always. In current COVID19 situation, selection of this hotel was even more obvious as I know how meticulous they are to ensure guests’ safety.

Beautiful little hotel with amazing stuff. The air conditioner was fine, But they don’t have refrigerator in rooms. You can use the one in lobby. There’s no slippers in rooms. They have self service breakfast and you can order eggs, Sausage, and … . It was clean and nice.

The Ivy Lane Hotel is very well located for visiting the main sites of the city of Colombo. It is in the immediate vicinity of several bus stops and you will find many restaurants, cafes and small supermarkets in the area. The staff are friendly and helpful, my double room was very well equipped and very comfortable, the bathroom was functional and everything was spotlessly clean. The only downsides for me are that the area is a little noisy (traffic noise) and the breakfast is not up to par at all. The value for money remains interesting.

This hotel is in a great position: there are shops, restaurants and busses nearby. It is simple but has everything. Staff super friendly. If you are a big breakfast eater it is not the right place but they have what is needed for a quick and simple breakfast. My room was on the first floor without balcony and it was a bit strange to have the curtain always closed so maybe ask for a room in higher floors.

It's nice little budget hotel with cooperative staff especially Mr. Saman. There was an issue with a room's air conditioner, but it got sorted out by the staff. They changed our room. Breakfast was passable, freshly cooked omelet was good though. Washroom drains were too slow. Surprisingly there was no power cuts in this hotel!

The hotel is in the Galle Road between Bamba to Kolluptiya And also close to the beach but that beach is not safe for bathing. You can go to Mount Lavinia about 6 to 7 km away from the hotel
I don't think they have the service but close by there are enough places for laundry. Cinnmon grand hotel has which is five minutes on a tuk tuk. Also there should be some close by for sure hotel should be able to help you.

Colombo and our location is located approximately 35kms from the Airport. It takes about 45 mins to 1 hour by car, depending on the traffic.
It would take about 1.5 to 2 hours if you are coming by bus.
