I had the pleasure of staying at Cinnamon Red, and I must say that it truly exemplifies the best of Sri Lankan hospitality. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who were always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel’s central location in the heart of Colombo made it incredibly convenient for exploring the city, yet it still felt like a peaceful retreat after a long day.
A special mention goes to Thiloka at the front desk. Her helpfulness, knowledge, and genuine understanding of guest relations were simply outstanding. She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable as possible, providing excellent recommendations and handling every request with grace and professionalism. Thiloka is a shining example of what makes Cinnamon Red such a wonderful place to stay.

Stayed for one night on 4th Jan 2020. Hotel appears to be a new hotel with all modern facilities and interiors. The stay was very comfortable with the room ( on 21st Floor) having excellent views of Highrise Buildings and distant Sea . House Keeping was also excellent and the House keeping staff were very helpful in arranging for any extra requirements in the room. The hotel has a roof top swimming pool which is a must visit to have a feel of the views from the top floor. Overall we had an excellent and highly comfortable stay.

Been travelling around Sri Lanka for a couple of weeks staying in older more authentic style accommodations this hotel is the total opposite very modern, clean, safe, swanky hotel. Service fantastic they could not do enough for you. Buffet breakfast was wonderful and bar happy hour was a bonus. Tbh we felt like we could be staying in London whilst in Colombo totally different atmosphere to all the other places we stayed in .. if we come back to Sri Labka and Colombo we would definitely stay again great value for money 👍

Stayed here for 2 nights, highly recommend just for the view from the pool and roof bar. Had tapas first night very good and ate in the restaurant for lunch also very good. Clean comfortable rooms, good shower, excellent breakfast. I would recommend booking through bookings.com as much cheaper rates than booking direst with the hotel. Highly recommend for 1/2 nights stay in Colombo.

The Room was not ready we were travelling with an infant had to wait 9.30 PM to check in to room, they offered us a twin room when we made the booking for king bed how are we suppose to sleep in a twin room with a child and left with option of smoking room which we do not want since again specifically travelling with a child. The in room slippers when we requested the operator told this will be charged 250 RPS i said ok i just need it since we were going to rooftop pool. Stayed here for 5 nights almost every night went to rooftop bar the service was very slow. Not what i expected from a Cinnamon hotel. On a positive note the Sri Lankan dinner buffet was very good and almost daily we had breakfast from their restaurant at 8th floor food was good specially sri lankan food how ever the staffs are not so friendly at this restaurant. On our departure date we requested for a late check out since the day we checked in we got the room at 9.30PM but they said can only give up until 1PM our flight was at 8.30Pm that night and I ended up begging to provide a late check out and finally they charge me half day rate and gave the late check out. The only reason i booked this property was since it is very close to main key areas and for it's name.

We apologize that a non smoking king bedded room was not available at the time of your arrival due to the high occupancies the hotel experienced at the time. Further, we were unaware that you were travelling with an infant, as your booking was for a triple room. Therefore, on arrival we offered a non-smoking twin room which was available, but since you insisted on a king bed, a room was made ready within 15 minutes of your arrival. We regret you were unaware of our concept, wherein certain amenities are not provided in the room, free of charge. We also apologize if you felt that our staff was poorly coordinated and inhospitable and assure you that this is an exception rather than the norm. We do apologize for not offering you a late check out till 3.00pm free of charge, given that you were travelling with an infant. Your feedback is duly noted as it helps us monitor areas in which we could improve. We hope this will not dissuade you from staying with us in future!

I stayed in this hotel for two day and one night with my cousin on the 31st of December to celebrate New Year’s Eve! I was given a room on the 22nd floor of this 26 floor building. My room was fell under the category of sea view, which I requested them at the time of check in where they gracefully accepted my request! The name of the hotel CINNAMON RED was aptly seen from the entrance to the room where they mainly used the color RED for all sort of interiors such as floor carpets, corridors, wall decors, furniture and even curtains all around the hotel!
Room was spacious and ideal for two occupants. Room had a sofa which you can fold in to an easy chair where you can partially lie-down and enjoy the spectacular view of the city facing the Indian Ocean!
Room had all the facilities which I expected like in other cinnamon hotels other than the washroom maintenance!! The commode was leaking and there was a stain of dirt which was not that welcoming you for your private work to be done in there! Also we used to get bathrobes and walk in slippers from many other cinnamon hotels and they didn’t had any of that! One more negative which I noticed was the lack of supplies of cosmetics in the bathroom like body lotion, toothbrush and toothpaste! where u have to carry everything with you! They only had a shampoo and a body wash!
Other than the above tiny issues they had the amazing infinity pool on their rooftop which is situated on 26th floor with a breathtaking view is a must to try and get the experience! We visited in December which is a rainy month and we had a wonderful experience bathing in the pool with the shower of rain! They had New Year’s Eve party in their rooftop restaurant called “Cloud Red” which was so happening with amazing music in the background!
They do serve the food to your room if u wish to have it in your room. The breakfast was served in another restaurant of theirs called “Flavoured” where I got a little disappointment because they told us it’s gonna be a 4course meal instead of a buffet and just served us the Kiribath(milk rice) with some typical Srilankan curry and coconut water for dessert some fruits! I felt it’s not worth the money we paid for our breakfast! May be because it’s the new year they just served us the Kiribath, they also could have thought of people who don’t like to have Kiribath early in the morning!
Finally I had a good stay in this hotel, the room and the view from the room was so dreamy and the rooftop infinity pool was a wonderful experience which is a must to have!

I really enjoyed my stay here. From the moment I passed through the security screening to check in and during my stay, all staff were friendly, professional, respectful and responsive. I needed a very late checkout as my flight out of Colombo was not until midnight, so this meant I needed to book an additional night - I was happy to do so. My room, on level 23, was great. Very comfortable, good air conditioning, nice shower, great linen and dreamily comfortable bed. I used all three restaurants/bars (on levels 7, 8 and 26) and I cannot fault the service or quality. I would particularly note the attentive nature of staff - they are so gentle and focussed on great service. The rooftop bar on level 26 has a stunning view. The location is good, there is a lovely lake within walking distance and a tuk-tuk ride from the Fort is only about 350 rupees. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. Very many thanks to all.

We were there for a casual outing for drinks. We ordered few cocktail and few bites. Cocktails were spelended. Waiters were so friendly, specially Kanishka and Randima were so helpful us. We ordered Long island ice tea and Bull Frog cocktail which was on happy hour discounted price. The cocktails had a good punch and food was up to standard as well. Really happy with the overall service. The only thing that we missed was the ambience which was not so great compared to a star class hotel.

Cinnamon Red is our fav place in Colombo. Whenever we have a wedding, party, work or anything in Colombo, Red is the most convenient place for us. It has everything you want. Friendly staff, safe car park, awesome food and drinks, beautiful views, excellent amenities and great location. Also we have tried almost everything in the snack menu at Stirred Red. Our favorites are King burgers, Tandoori Chicken wrap, and Tuna Mexicana. Ricky who is at Stirred Red is always friendly and helpful and recommend the best options that we can enjoy. Once we ordered cupcakes as a gift, chef went extra mile and decorated it nicely. Eranga and the other staff members at Rooftop are very friendly and supportive. Never disappoint us with their drinks and food choices. Every night they have special functions at the rooftop bar with good music and dance competition. So it is a total package. Checking-in and checkout procedures are very efficient. Front office team always try to give the rooms with mesmerizing views and housekeeping guys do an exceptional job to make the room very clean. Due to the higher satisfaction, we have booked Red more than 10 times in 2022. For Jan 2023 this is the second booking. Now Red feels like home :)

Stayed here on a work trip in Jan 2019 and then again a few weeks later in Feb 2019. The hotel is perfect for biz travellers though there were a lot of tourists as well given that this is a reasonably priced hotel. The location is also nice as it's walking distance to some restaurants, parks and the main square. The rooms are quite colourful (red!) which is different from the usual fare. We had drinks at the rooftop bar one night but didn't really eat at the hotel besides breakfast which was fine. I would classify this as a top end 3-star property with signs of 4-star.

Hi , myself i never made use of a driver facility there as i drive myself in Sri Lanka.
But i have seen a Hotel Car or driving facility etc (Taxi ) there...at the Hotel.
So i believe its part of the Hotel services .
However i cant give yiu any information on prices or so.
They have a garage as I know so I guess motor cycles should be able to park too yes .intact a friend gave a visit to me ,and he came by bike and parked in parking inside ..hope it helped to answer your question
