Ours was one night stay at the hotel occupying 2 Premier Twin Rooms. These rooms had 2 comfortable single beds which could be moved to use them as a double bed if required. Room had all common amenities in good shape like Coffee and Tea maker,mineral water, free WiFi, good charging facilities, LED TV, big safe deposit box, hair dryer, mini bar, etc. It additionally had a pair of working desk and chair, Ipod docking station and alarm clock facilities. Airconditioning was adjustable from the room itself. Bathroom was nicely styled and arranged. Their other rooms are labelled as "Premier Double" and "Elyon Deluxe".
We had a warm welcome at the reception. Staff at all levels were well trained, authentic and attentive. Service level was excellent. We had to leave bit early on the next day and we were provided a packed breakfast of sandwich, fruits and juice in time as per our request.
Launched in 2014 the hotel has about 60 rooms arranged over 7 floors. Other amenities at the hotel are concierge, gymnasium, laundry, free self parking, newspapers in lobby, luggage storage and airport shuttle service (at an extra charge). It has a rooftop restaurant and bar with a spectacular view of the cityscape. It is a "Best Western" branded hotel but owned and operated independently. Smoking is not allowed in any of its rooms but there are designated areas allowing smoking. Pets are not allowed. Physically challenged rooms/facilities are available but the hotel is not geared to accept guests with major physical challenges. There is no swimming pool - it is a vertical type hotel built on a medium sized plot of land.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Colombo and had a mixed experience. The room was comfortable, and the lobby manager was very humble, but I faced a significant billing issue with room service.
I ordered two brownies for dessert, listed at 850 LKR each on the menu and confirmed via phone. However, I was shocked to find I was charged 1540 LKR each instead. This unexpected charge doubled my total bill to 4156 LKR instead of the anticipated 2000 LKR.
Initially, this experience made me want to give a 1-star review. However, the lobby manager's sincere efforts to apologize and explain the situation changed my mind to a 3-star review. Despite his efforts, the system issues prevented him from reversing the charge, and I ended up paying an unrealistic amount.
While I appreciate the room comfort and the Lobby manager's dedication, this billing discrepancy has made me question whether I would choose this hotel again, even though I have chosen this location several times before. I hope management addresses such issues in the future.

This was one of the worse hotel experiences we have had. The hotel when we arrived did not seem to be ready for any guests. There was a lot of maintenance going on and paint,rubbish and equipment left in the passageway to our room. The room had very few amenities for a 4 star hotel. Only soap and very small bottle of shower gel and shampoo. That was the total. When we went up to the hotel bar which advertised it was open at 3 pm and we arrived around 6pm there was no staff. This also happened on subsequent days. The gym on the same floor is very small with old equipment and no treadmill which was clearly there but removed. Towels were there for one day but never replenished. There is little soundproofing for the rooms. We were kept awake two nights by rowdy neighbours. We changed rooms as the curtains were not intact and the alternative was better with some extra amenities in the bathroom but the following day these were taken out of the room. Nothing was replaced for tea and coffee. Our last evening meal was impossible to order for a long time as they were only concerned with the buffet customers. Breakfast was also hit and miss. Staff were clearly overwhelmed with the quantities of guests and not properly trained.

Had a good stay at the hotel. Everyday was greeted by smiling faces of the staff members who were always ready to help. I would specially like to mention Savantha. He made sure that all our needs were properly looked after. He was always polite and courteous. Nice stay. They have separate rooms for elderly (with supports installed in bathrooms, no steps etc-ask for one if u need). Check with Mr. Dumith, Lobby manager. Regular cleaning, affordable prices, cooperative staff. Food is good but very minimal vegetarian options :-)

I stayed at Best Western Elyon Colombo for two nights during my business trip to Sri Lanka. I was impressed by friendly staff ( Sameera and Ajith ) . The bathroom had a rain shower and a bidet, which I appreciated. The wifi was fast and reliable, and the air conditioning worked well. The breakfast was delicious and varied, with both continental and Asian options. The rooftop bar was a great place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of Colombo. The fitness center was well-equipped and open 24 hours. The staff were very helpful and courteous, and made me feel welcome. They also arranged a tour for me to see the Sri Lanka National Museum and the Royal Colombo Golf Club, which were both worth visiting. I would highly recommend Best Western Elyon Colombo to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Colombo

We hold our official residential 3 days workshop at this venue. Exceptional services provided by the hotel than our request. Very comfortable and clean rooms, food was really yummy as we could customize the menu with the hotel. Can be easily reached and most of the shopping centers and sights are nearby. The hotel team has always been friendly, patient and helpful. We were impressed with the conference hall seating set up and the necessities provided throughout without any interruptions. We would definitely stay there again. and Highly recommended for any occasions.

My family and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at Best Western Elyon Colombo for Mother's Day, and it was truly an exceptional experience.
First and foremost, the staff at this hotel are absolutely amazing. They were kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. As a parent of twins, meal times can be challenging, but the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating every day.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Colombo, situated in a prime area that makes it easy to travel around the city.
The meals at the hotel were delicious and truly enjoyable. We savored every bite.
Our room was exceptionally comfortable, as was the well-appointed washroom.
Although I didn't have the chance to use the gym during our stay, it looked well-equipped from what I could see. I'm sure it's a great facility for those looking to maintain their fitness routine while traveling.
Lastly, I want to extend a big thank you to the management for providing us with such a memorable stay. We would love to visit this hotel again in the future.

I am still very surprised how this is a 4 star hotel. There is only 1 lift. The hall carpets are dirty and stinks. We had to ask for a dustbin for the room. Bathroom slippers are not available. The balcony is off access and dangerous. The hand held shower is broken and doesn't work properly. The pressure and temperature keeps varying making showering very difficult. No vanity kit was provided. Only a small unlabeled bottle was there in the bathroom, which i assume to be the shower gel. No shampoo, no conditioner. The mini bar was locked. Our package included breakfast and dinner. The first day dinner was a great disappointment. They didn't even have a buffet, reason being if there are only less occupants they skip the buffet. The F&B manager then filled a plate with the food from the resto bar above and gave us. Dinner food was average. I suspect they kept the better stuff for patrons above and gave us the least moving items. Food was better from next mornin. But the food is not warm always, the bacon and sausages were cold and we had to ask them to reheat it.
Overall a great disappointment.
The hotel is on the outskirts of the city so you will need to get a ride to reach anywhere. Nothing is there in walkable distance.
