Our family (2 adults+ 2 adult kids) visited SL for the Xmas holidays last month and stayed in the Family room with the Ocean view. I must say as Sri Lankans visiting from the US we felt so much at home with the great hospitality afforded by the owner of the hotel Prabath Fonseka and his very able staff. The ocean view location, proximity to the Kinross beach, the food, music entertainment, the ocean view pool and of course the tremendous hospitality and service made our stay so memorable. We would stay there again in a Heart Beat and highly recommend the hotel and are looking forward to going back !!.

This hotel just reopened to the general public after having served as a quarantine hotel during the pandemic.
Our ocean view room was HUGE and clean and comfortable. The balcony also overlooked Colombo's commuter rail, which my husband, a train enthusiast, loved watching. With the sliders closed, you don't hear anything.
Service was phenomenal. Anything we needed was delivered so quickly, you would think the staff was waiting right outside the door with the item in hand.
I had THE most delicious Singapore noodles in the hotel restaurant, I would go back just for that! They also served a multi-course breakfast (which I think was included in the price) with far too much food (not used to THAT at home!!). The staff was attentive, courteous and eager to please. Highest marks!
NOTE: Below I checked "budget" for hotel pricing. It was a very low price in American dollars, but it was in NO way a "budget" feel. I'm not accustomed to luxury hotels so I can't compare, but it is certainly the most spacious room I can remember staying in.

We spent one night and are looking forward to returning next year. They have an infinity pool which we enjoyed.but no pool table in the man cave which is closed. We had panoramic sea views and watched a stunning sunset from our room. The AC worked well and the room was very clean. The food was good and the Matre D Damien and the barman Rinkshan were very good. The front office staff were brilliant allowing us a 2PM checkout at no extra cost, they also keep our luggage safe in their office until 6 PM. You won't be disappointed staying here.

We were there only for two nights. They were our first two nights. The sunset from the infinity pool was amazing. Wish the pool was a bit warmer. Eventhough the pool is an outdoor pool, it doesn't get warm by the sun due to the roof above it. The breakfast buffets were great and the service was excellent. We chose this because of its proximity to our relatives homes. We are glad we did. The only problem is parking. We were ten of us in a coach doing a tour of the island and it was not very safe to get off our coach with children. But you can always ask the driver to park infront of the hotel facing the incoming traffic.

I’ll say right away that the views from this hotel are what immediately kills in the good sense of the word. The hotel is located by the sea across the road, and when you enter your room, you feel as if you are on some kind of ship right at sea. It really looks very nice.
The hotel is good. The rooms are large, very spacious, the balcony is large enough, if you are lucky and have a high floor like ours, you will enjoy the view without stopping, it is really very inviting. And the windows in the room are also well designed - they are French, and therefore if you open the curtains and look out the window, you really feel like you are on some kind of cruise ship.
As for food: the breakfasts are modest, as in other hotels on the island, but the restaurant itself is very good, you can have lunch and dinner there, and the prices are generally reasonable.
The pool, unfortunately, is too cold, almost icy, I would like some warmer water.
The neighboring street is very busy, with a lot of shops. You will be able to buy groceries and some things - whatever you want. Mount Lavinia station is a 20-minute drive away - there is a train to Galle from there.

Poor customer service and food quality. We had half board accommodation. Dinner was ordinary with limited and restricted choices. Breakfast was not of good standard. When we entered breakfast resraurant staff was not there past 15 minutes the official opening time of 7 am. I would not recommend this hotel to holiday goers.

My self and my husband and my baby we quarantined at mirage for almost 10 days and the service was exceptional.
They made sure that the was different everyday and whenever we wanted something done despite their work they made sure they attended to our requests when we were quarantined.
Pradeep who always answered the front desk phone made sure that our stay was memorable. Not sure which department he is attached to. So all in all the hotel was good and the service was excellent. Keep up the good work.
