I stayed here 1 night with my friend. I checked in 1 hour earlier than the standard time and checked out 2 hours later. Both the receptionist guy and the cashier sweetie are very friendly and helpful. Hotel and the Room was very clean and enough space. Bathroom was clean too. The swimming pool was very nice with a temperature and just 4 feets. Breakfast served at the floor no 03 was with a small selection but filling. Food was tasty. The restaurant staff are very friendly too. The house is located in the center where itβs convenient for supermarkets, hospital and a high number of restaurants especially vegetarian. This place is very accessible for all travelers like the bus stops are near and running busses all the time. And the house just need some maintenance. Overall the house was very convenient . I loved the stay here . Thank you hotel sapphire team. Hope for another visit. Thank you very much both the receptionist guy and the cashier sweetie.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Sapphira Hotel during our sales visit in Colombo. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the team, and the Sales Manager, Vinny Freeda, upgraded us to a suite room, which was such a lovely gesture.
The entire staff was incredibly helpful and attentive, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we were especially impressed by the fresh papaya juice they servedβtruly refreshing! From the door to check-out, everything was flawless. A big thank you to all the team members for their excellent hospitality. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel!

Good place to be when you are in Colombo. Good roof top restaurant with classy food and service. Lump-rice is fully worth the money you spend. The bar is a great hangout place. The barman's are very friendly. Rooms are okay

We stayed here ond night as our tour was departing from this location. Our room was old, dirty and smelt bad. The bathroom was disgusting and it looked like shower hadn't been cleaned for years. The room itself smelt mouldy and we couldn't use the aircon due to smell it was giving off. Who knows when it was last serviced. Our shower would only provide scalding hot water which actually burnt my hand. The maintenance people came and it took them nearly an hour to sort it out. I asked at reception to change rooms but they were unwilling to allow this. They were also very rude and didn't care. The maintenance people left dirty footprints in our bathroom and on the floor mat so I had to ask them to provide clean ones. The restaurant was Ok. They serve Chinese and Indian food not Sri Lankan which was disappointing although the restaurant staff were very nice and the breakfast was good. The hotel is not in a great location. So all in all I would not recommend staying here.

Although rooms are of decent size the decor and everything inside is old, stale and somewhat dirty. Dull flooring and inadequate lighting in the room provided a very claustrophobic feeling. I am glad we spent only a few hours in evening and had only 1 night stay. The saving grace was the food in the restaurant that had a set menu and was excellent for evening dinner and breakfast and would like to thank the staff for the food service.

Hotel Sapphire β Colombo 6 I recently stayed 8 nights in this hotel in late Jan β early Feb. It is perfectly positioned with close proximity to transport, restaurants, supermarkets and a short stroll to the beach. The room was very clean and spacious and had all the facilities that a hotel room could offer. The breakfast was tasty and varied from day to day. The highlight is the staff, all of whom who were polite, helpful, and efficient. The price was very reasonable. I have stayed in this hotel on many previous occasions, and I will keep going there while I am in Colombo. I can recommend this hotel to singles/couples/families. They will not be disappointed.

The hotel's location is its prime asset, along with the excellent staff who go out of their way to help your needs. I stayed at this hotel twice during my trip to the Island and on both occasions the team made me feel at home. The hotel is affordable for budget travelers and provides all the basic amenities and offers a very solid Sri Lankan or Continental breakfast. The bathrooms and the bed linens are clean and the rooms are air-conditioned, I did have the occasion to stay in the pricy Cineman Grand and Galleface hotels, however for the price they charge and the helpfulness of the staff. Hotel Sapphire is well worth the stay. I will give it two thumbs up.

The rooms and bathrooms are below average and the hotel needs renovation. Rooms have peculiar smell and have no balcony. The staff is not friendly and lacks hospitality. We asked manager for packing our breakfast, as we had flight at early morning and he gave an offended look.The dinner served does not meets the international standard and is not served in same style as depicted in photographs. Not recommended at all.

I will not have any functions or visit this hotel as long as the current general manager is there. I have recommended this place to my friends and family for the service they USED to give but not anymore. The standards have gone down to a brothel. The GM was so rude to me and my friends and such a hideous person to be the head of the hotel. Don't know to solve a problem or give a option, only thing he know is to pose for pictures with women, the hotel itself is not following hygiene standards in this pandemic situation. It was a shame to see the hotel has gone down from where it use to be. Please Please Please the higher management take necessary action unless you want to loose your guests.

The hotel is over rated in the other reviews. I would not even rate as a 2 star hotel. Rooms Needed updating and stinks of damp. The bathroom is old and dingy. The hot water only comes in certain times. The lift is really old and would close faster before the second person gets in. Please do not waste money. The only positive aspect is the really helpful staff.
