From the moment you arrive at the hotel, you feel as if you are in a luxury hotel (without the expensive price tag). The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and take care of any needs you may have. The hotel is coming up on their 1st year anniversary, but the staff is well trained and shows experience far beyond them only being in business about a year. This hotel will definitely be my go to hotel on my future visits to Colombo. The only regret I had was the week after I left they were scheduled for the opening their Brand New Rooftop Bar and Restaurant. I wish I could have watched the sunsets overlooking the ocean while dining and having some drinks before I departed (on future trips it will be my afterwork relaxation area).
Yasasi greeted me upon arrival, and would check every time she saw me to make sure my stay was above and beyond, which it was. The dining room staff, from the hostess, to the wait staff, and including the line chefs were all eager to make my breakfasts and dinners an exceptional experience, preparing my food exactly like I asked for. The choices and quality of food were beyond anything I was expecting. The staff in the executive lounge was always eager to make sure I enjoyed the choices available (and new what they were, LOL), and all were very accommodating.
I usually don't splurge when I am on business, but I tried the spa since I had a day off. The 1st massage was exactly what I needed, and because the cost was so reasonable I scheduled a 2nd one prior to my return back to the states.
The pool located just off the back of the hotel is through a walkway, it has a small bar and sitting area that makes relaxing in the sun easy to do. They also have a small bakery in the lobby, for that quick coffee, sandwiches, snacks and ice cream with a Happy Hour between 6 and 8 (don't miss it).
As a Lifetime Titanium Elite Member with Marriott Bonvoy I can say this hotel reaches for the stars and beyond, what a pleasant place to be, with excellent customer service.

New hotel which was revamped at a older location. Location is great and view is awesome.
Check-in staff definitely need more training as a platinum elite we ended up educating them on things, which was fine but they lacked the “service accommodation piece”. At this point we self doubted ourselves if staying here was a good idea.
Our perception quickly changed once we made it to the executive lounge. Brian and Neemesh were amazing. They both walked around to check in with guest to see if they needed anything.Brian’s accommodation and kind gesture towards my son’s allergies were outstanding. He made a point to inform chef Nikhil and his team who came to greet us and offered any accommodations we required to ensure our son was taken care of. Brian’s service mentality was outstanding.
Through out the hotel it was noted we had a kid with allergies.
This kindness and above/beyond service we experienced at the Colombo kitchen with Sheehan and his entire team. Breakfast and dinner buffet were amazing. Good quality and variety. Multiple chefs walking around to ensure everyone was taken care of and food spread was refilled and presentable. Chefs took time to walk my son around to show him food items he was able to eat. Live cooking stations for dinner and breakfast that range from grilling to Dosa making to traditional Sri Lankan food. Belly was definitely full. House keeping team let’s not forget them. Udagangani ensured our rooms were equipped with everything we need. She made cute swan towels for my son which he loved. Her kind gesture deserves a shout out!
Spa had a good set up. Went for a massage and manicure. Massage was great will skip the manicure next time. Manicure wasn’t up to standard but massage did not disappoint. Spa reception desk person who checked us in, was awesome. Didn’t catch his name but his personality and kind gesture and friendliness is what’s needed at the front desk checkin counter.
Overall, minus the front desk check in experience, everything else exceed our expectations. Grateful for the amazing staff at the kitchen and lounge for making our stay a memorable one.

From the first second we entered the property to the second we left, the staff delivered an incredible hearted hospitality service. Every single employee went above and beyond and they were proud of what they do.
The room was absolutely stunning and thanks to a corner location we had a fantastic view over the Indian Ocean as well as the city. All windows are floor to ceiling windows.
The entire interior, decoration as well as furniture is very modern as the hotel is only 9 months old.
The food at Colombo kitchen was super delicious. The breakfast buffet is massive and caters for absolutely everyone. The a la carte dishes in the evening as well as the dinner buffet were stunning. Everything is prepared fresh and is super tasty.
The colpetty bar in the lobby is the weakest link in all F&B outlets. The bar is very hidden and it has the flair of a waiting room.
The pool on the rooftop as well as the pool bar are very nice and staff is super friendly.
We had a fantastic stay at Sheraton Colombo and would not think a second of not going back. We can highly recommend them.

After waiting many years for the Sheraton Colombo to open, we were highly satisfied with the final outcome.
We stayed during a phase before the Official Opening and as such a few amenities were not available - most notably the Rooftop Bar.
Nevertheless, the standard of the Sheraton Colombo was excellent - comparable to its international peers.
We noted that all staff were highly attentive to guests needs. We had a large family lunch on a weekend and we noticed how the restaurant staff took extra special care with all the guests. In particular, one staff carried my Auntie's plate to her table after noticing that she was quite weak. It was evident that they are trained to ensure that all guests are looked after with the highest quality care.
In fact, all the staff seem to be trained to a very high standard that Sheraton has set. Naduni in particular was very attentive to our needs and provided us with a highly caring service throughout our stay.
The rooms were very clean and the ambience was pleasant throughout the hotel.
The breakfast spread was amazing, catering for Sri Lankan, Western, Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. All food tasted delicious and exceeded our expectations.
The location of the hotel was also very convenient, allowing us to travel throughout Colombo with ease.
I would highly recommend to stay at the Sheraton Colombo if you want a high class hotel with excellent customer service.

Stayed here for 5 nights. So happy with my choice. This is a brand new hotel, I think it opened only a few weeks ago, so everything is new. The room is bright and spacious, we had rooms on the 20th floor overlooking the ocean. The hotel has 21 floors. The bathroom has a separate shower and I loved the water pressure. We had two rooms and are grateful we were given connecting rooms, considering we booked at the last minute. They let us check in extra early in the morning as our flight arrived early and we also checked out way past the standard check out time. This is highly appreciated and helpful. The breakfast was expansive and plentiful. The staff always made sure items were quickly replenished. The hotel hosts buffet dinner every night which we tried once and we were not disappointed, the food was fresh and tasty and plentiful and the range accommodated everyone's tastes and preferences.
The pool is of decent size, the water temperature suitable, it is an outdoor pool. There was a spa area with steam room and sauna but we did not use these facilities. The gym was spacious and very well equipped, all of the equipment was new and working properly. Plenty of TV channels available. There was an option to screen mirror but we could not get this to work, it was not a big deal.
The staff are excellent, everybody from reception, to restaurant, lounge and room service, the staff could not have been more attentive, helpful and accommodating. Location is central and the lobby feels spacious and new. My family and i had a very relaxing and memorable stay here and I recommend it highly to anyone planning to spend time in Colombo. This is by far the best hotel in Colombo.

Although our stay was short at this brand new hotel, we experienced enough to give this hotel the top scores for rooms, service and location (we didn't get to enjoy the pool, rooftop restaurant on the 21/22 floor). The staff is extra nice to take care of every little needs of the guests; also, there are many obliging staff members available, whether at the check in desk, bellhops, restaurant, bar lounge, etc. One cannot beat the location, in central Colombo, but with an ocean view. While the main road by the hotel is busy at peak times, one can take a short walk, a couple of blocks, to the Marine Drive for a nice stroll or jog along the rail tracks by the coast. Easy to walk to a lot of other restaurants, shops, the US embassy, etc. The Bake Shop, a coffee shop near the check-in desk, bakes their own delicious breads and pastries; they might need additional staff when the hotel is fully open and the occupancy increases. One cautionary note is that the shower stall floor, although beautiful, felt slippery (maybe since it is brand new). Overall, this is a great hotel with the most modern amenities and conveniences, including on-site covered parking.

Sheraton Colombo is a beautiful hotel in Kollupitiya. Although the lobby area is small, But it is very beautiful and attractive . To welcome their guests, they have provided towels to wipe their faces in the lobby area and A welcome drink is also included. Going here you can get delicious food and drinks and surely you will love it. We love their kindness. From the security guard to everyone providing service is very friendly.

We stayed at the Sheraton Colombo in march for our family trip and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We stayed twice in march and both times the team at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay special. During our first time staying the team sent us a welcome treat of assortments of local delicacies and the room had a full basket full of fruits. My family really enjoyed them a lot. We didn’t stay that much in the hotel as we had families to meet and to go to different places but every time we would pass by the desk the staff would greet us with a warm smile. Prior to coming in I had the chance to speak with Emil the front office manager who ensured our needs for the stay. Also I would like to thank Sevindi, Dasuni for helping us. Thank you again for everything and I will be back again.

The security at the entrance can be definitely promoted to serve their customers inside the hotel as the security wearing gray uniforms are well trained to handle the customers in a professional way that most of the city hotels fail to do. We had to park the car somewhere closer to the lobby as my wife was feeding our little girl. The security allowed us to park the car near the receiving bay and gave us two umbrellas to get to the lobby which was great. Unfortunately the weather was really bad and we had to take the car to the main entrance again to avoid getting wet by the rain and valet driver was helpful to park the car in a safe place
Actually the first impression was remarkable. The security was very polite and helpful unlike other hotels where only high end cars are given that hospitality.
When we walked into the reception we were briefed by a girl and guided us to the lounge. Prasanna at the lounge was very helpful as we wanted to order some heavy dinner dishes and since it was not available in his menu, he assisted us in getting a table set at the buffet restaurant without any hesitation. Thank you Prasanna for that. He in fact came after sometime to check the food satisfaction too and id we were happy with the offered table which made us feel this place has got the best staff in Colombo.
We actually went to the buffet restaurant to have some food from the a'la carte menu and after placing the order, I just happened to walk to the buffet area with our little girl to see how it looks like and then I meet this tall Chef in a black kit called Sampath who took me around the buffet and gave a superb orientation of what is available and he changed my mind to go for the buffet than having a'la carte which I thanked him personally when leaving as it was a excellent suggestion which we really enjoyed.
Food and Beverage Manager Shahran was very professional and came and checked if we were happy with what we were having and even explained to us about the hotel offerings which we actually weren't aware of. Malith was also very attentive and humble enough to treat us well.
We will definitely visit Sheraton Colombo quite often and your hospitality is more than enough to compete with the surrounded hotels as none of them can match your level of hospitality. We have been visiting your neighbours all the time not knowing your product was far more better than them.
Actually the first impression was remarkable. The security was very polite and helpful unlike other hotels where only high end cars are given that hospitality.
When we walked into the reception we were briefed by a girl and guided us to the lounge. Prasanna at the lounge was very helpful as we wanted to order some heavy dinner dishes and since it was not available in his menu, he assisted us in getting a table set at the buffet restaurant without any hesitation. Thank you Prasanna for that. He in fact came after sometime to check the food satisfaction too and id we were happy with the offered table which made us feel this place has got the best staff in Colombo.

We recently stayed at the Sheraton Colombo from October 14 - 27th. We travel a fair amount and this was probably the most pleasant hotel stay that we have ever experienced. All of the staff members that we interacted with had a smile on their face, seemed happy and genuinely cared about us.
The Front desk staff of Emil, Oleni and Joseph were extremely helpful and seamlessly handled our request for a change of room at the start of our stay.
Chef Nikhil, Shehan, the other Managers and staff at the Colombo Kitchen went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Chef Nikhil was always inquiring as to what we would like to eat and made a special local vegetarian dish that I requested (Kiri Kos), that is not easily available. This kind of service is simply amazing!
We visited the Ceylon Bake Shop a few times and the staff would always be accommodating, and would call in to the kitchen to get us fresh items when we ordered food to take out for the evenings. We also had some friends/family over a couple of times for the high tea at the Colpetty Lounge and the food was good and the staff were helpful.
Being a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member we received upgraded rooms and had access to the Sheraton Club Lounge. The chef and staff at the lounge are extremely friendly and made us feel welcome whenever we utilized it. The housekeeping staff were also extremely helpful and we loved the different creations of animals and snowmen that were created by Chathuranga and the others, using towels.
We have observed Duty Managers at other 5 Star Hotels, and most of the time, they just walk around looking important. Sheraton's Duty Manager Amila is a valuable asset to the hotel. He would always inquire about our comfort and went out of his way to help us with anything that we needed. He even personally loaded our luggage into the car one day when we were traveling and was there at the door to wish us "bon voyage" when we left.
We travel frequently to Sri Lanka and have stayed at many hotels in Colombo. Going forward, we are planning to make Sheraton Colombo our "home" when in Sri Lanka.
