This hotel stands out from the rest due to its location (out of the centre, on the Mekong), its size and its grandeur. It will provide a 'generic' hotel experience and caters for many large tour groups.Rooms are large and clean; TV with channels in many languages; wifi worked OK, bathroom a bit dated but fine. The hotel is away...

My wife and I stayed on the occasion and it became one of our favourite hotels in the world. The receptionist was particularly helpful. It is worth taking a room suite. We have stayed in other hotels in the town, I cannot remember their names, bur they did not measure up to this hotel. We enjoyed stays here!

You can enjoy business trip to stay in the good view hotel beside Mekong River. There are many interested places surrounding hotel such as Pra Kaew Museum, Temples, etc. You may like it. You can go to Wattay International Airport only 15 minutes.

I went there for the business trip September 2016. The hotel is huge and very business-like. The room was spacious and clean, with Mekong river view. It located around downtown area. Pillows were comfortable but the bed was a bit hard for me. Staffs were helpful. Good breakfast, not many various choices but the taste was quite good. Wifi was...

Attended an international conference there for two days in early August 2016. Didn't stay there but those who did said the rooms are big and old fashioned. Unsurprising as this hotel was built in a grand style with a huge lobby, grand staircase, big ballroom and multi-function rooms. So it's more suitable for large tour groups, meetings and conventions rather...

Stayed here for 6 nights. Had to changed rooms after 4 cos the plaster on the ceiling of the first room came off. Thing is, I hadn't even noticed until the kind person from the reception called to alert me. Have to say that the hotel deserves credit for trying hard. Loved the firm mattress and spacious rooms. Location wise...

In January this year, I stayed in Don Chan Palace again after my first visit in 2005 when the hotel had just opened for service for the first time. Vaguely, I still recalled the grandeur of the newly erected hotel in the middle of rather empty surrounding neighbourhood. Back then, there was only a wide road and a few local...

The only reason this hotel is only nr 28 in Vientiane on Trip Advisor is probably that fewer tourists stay here than in the guesthouses. Because it is one out of two true luxury hotels in town. It is also located a bit at the outskirts of town, but the town is so small thay you can easily walk to...

The hotel was alright if overpriced but it was the gift shop annoyed me. They were selling ivory products and when I asked why they said "don't worry it's from Africa". Other than that it was a very average hotel that relies on being famous. There are much better
