Best thing about this hotel is the pool. Most of the time you'll find it to be quiet and it just feels great to have the pool for only you and your company. The room can be noisy at times when people start talking loudly from the restaurant. If you are light sleeper, make sure to ask for a quieter...

While not the most modern hotel in the city this location offers budget rooms at an affordable price. The rooms are somewhat dated but ours was clean and tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. Surprisingly, the noise levels were not too intrusive at night and the local rooster seemed to crow only during the daylight hours. Breakfast was provided...

There isn't really anything good about this hotel... The wifi doesn't work The rooms are dirty, mouldy and out dated, misquotes get inside... The shower head doesn't reach your head to wash your hair you have to be on your knees .. And I'm 5foot 6!!!! The pool feels like a chemical puddle never been in a pool so rich...

Terrible terrible terrible .I would never in my whole life recommend such hotel .very very dirty and old .breakfast disgusting. Rooms are ugly and dirty ,after guests leave their rooms they do not even clean them. If they have guests in the first place. I found used condom underneath my bed and buddy found hair on his sleeping sheets .

I stayed at this hotel for 1 night with a group tour. We had a room on the ground floor by the pool. The room smelled highly of mold. The pool looked nice from afar but when you got close lots of dead bugs and water dripping into it from air conditioning. There were lizards and snakes(small) in some of...

This is definitely a hotel meant for locals. No one in the hotel speaks English. So if you need directions forget it! Rooms are dirty and full of bugs (bed sheets were clean but not the covers), bathroom is mouldy. Bring cash because the reception tells you that you can pay for things with credit card and don't know how...

Stayed for two nights when applying for a Thai visa at the consulate about 1klm away. I wanted a place with a pool as the heat was extreme and I had a couple of days time to kill. This hotel fitted my requirements and it was nice to relax at the pool and mature gardens. Its an old style Laos...

My house became inhabitable, so we stayed here. The first room hadn't been cleaned, and we found a used condom under the bed. Nice start! We changed room and stayed 3 nights. It was fine, but not recommended. If you have to stay this side of town, it's probably the best you will find.

I have stayed in the Vansana Phonthan since 2007 for an average of 5 weeks each year. Now in 2014 the renovations are complete, the staff is always friendly especially with small children. the night club maybe noisy on Fridays and Saturdays, ask for a room at the far side of the swimming pool. recommended for families with children, the...
