The Ansara Hotel is found in a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the town. The check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. We found our room spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. There was ample hot water for showers. Breakfast was wide-ranging. The lunch and dinner menu was varied and would appeal to most pallets.... More

Wonderful hotel with nice rooms and great French restaurant. Feels like an oasis in the town - if there were only enough sunbeds at the refreshing pool. Ten sunbeds for 30 double rooms is definitely not enough. Also there are usually only few towels. So expect waiting time at the pool in the afternoon.

This is a beautifully appointed property near the centre of town, yet providing an oasis from the hustle and bustle. Vientiane has grown rapidly, and what was a bit away from the centre is now an ideal location - a block to the main street, and a block from the river and night market. There is also a great Italian... More

The building is very nice same as the rooms and the swimming pool in the centre of the hotel. It's actually a great oasis in this busy town. A hotel to relax and come down after a working- or also sightseeing day. - The bed is not comfortable as very hard and stiff +The location is great as close to... More

Stayed at Ansara Hotel for our first visit to Vientiane. Described as a boutique hotel, it was compact comprising several small buildings around a green space and swimming pool. Our room was a good size with dark wood furniture but the bed was definitely hard. We subsequently stayed at other Laos hotels and their beds were hard too so maybe... More

Comfortable and pretty hotel with comfortable rooms. Beds are so-so (a bit hard, but then again, they all are in Laos!). Staff was nice, but got a bit pesky when things got busy and many people needed help. Our breakfast was included and the morning serving staff was under staffed so it took almost 1.5 hours to have breakfast! Not... More

We stayed here for three nights in October. The hotel is down a little side street, very quaint and away from.the hustle and bustle of some of the surrounding streets. The staff were friendly and our room was beautiful with a lovely view of the garden. A very good central position to visit the surrounding area. We went off most... More

You approach the hotel up a cluttered alley, but once inside it's set around a cool, green garden. The rooms have large comfortable beds, look out with balconies on the garden and pool, and are beautifully decorated. All the amenities are there, including a room safe to stow your passport. After touring each day we took a dip in the... More

Down a little side street and away from the noise of Vientiane is this lovely French colonial sanctuary. While located close to the Mekong River, the night market and great restaurants, the Ansara also has the advantage of being situated just across the road from the fabulous Tangerine Garden Spa. The rooms are located around the lovely swimming pool and... More

This was our 2nd stay at Ansara Hotel. Another great stay. New management which goes out of their way to make sure you're comfortable. Breakfast was very good, the location was very quiet considering the boat festival. The pool was perfect after full days of seeing sites. We eat lunch one day which was incredibly delicious. The only recommendation would... More
