This beautiful French colonial style is right in the heart of Vientiane, close to the river, cafes, restaurants and a number of temples, yet it's location down a quiet side street makes it delightfully quiet. All rooms face an inner garden courtyard and pool, oh so relaxing. It has an excellent restaurant and the staff are very eager to help.Rooms...

We spent a couple of nights here on arrival in Laos after a long journey from the UK. We found it excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, we enjoyed the breakfasts and there is a lovely French restaurant where you can eat at lunch time and in the evening. The hotel was quiet and...

We spent a very relaxing day at the Ansara which is well located for a leisurely wander around town. Our room was spacious and airy with a pleasant balcony overlooking the pool and the complimentary mini- bar is a nice touch. We were obviously luckier than other TA reviewers as we easily secured sun beds and towels and had a...

We spent two nights here and it was a very pleasant experience. As other reviewers have noted the hotel is in an excellent location; it sits on a quiet, leafy side street, within walking distance to local attractions, restaurants, ATMs, etc. We were amazed at how quiet this place is considering its central location; we didn't hear any loud music,...

The Ansara Hotel is found in a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the town. The check-in was quick and the staff were friendly. We found our room spotlessly clean and the beds were comfortable. There was ample hot water for showers. Breakfast was wide-ranging. The lunch and dinner menu was varied and would appeal to most pallets....

Wonderful hotel with nice rooms and great French restaurant. Feels like an oasis in the town - if there were only enough sunbeds at the refreshing pool. Ten sunbeds for 30 double rooms is definitely not enough. Also there are usually only few towels. So expect waiting time at the pool in the afternoon.

This is a beautifully appointed property near the centre of town, yet providing an oasis from the hustle and bustle. Vientiane has grown rapidly, and what was a bit away from the centre is now an ideal location - a block to the main street, and a block from the river and night market. There is also a great Italian...

The building is very nice same as the rooms and the swimming pool in the centre of the hotel. It's actually a great oasis in this busy town. A hotel to relax and come down after a working- or also sightseeing day. - The bed is not comfortable as very hard and stiff +The location is great as close to...

Stayed at Ansara Hotel for our first visit to Vientiane. Described as a boutique hotel, it was compact comprising several small buildings around a green space and swimming pool. Our room was a good size with dark wood furniture but the bed was definitely hard. We subsequently stayed at other Laos hotels and their beds were hard too so maybe...
