Great location and first impressions look like a lovely traditional Khmer building. We arrived late to find the lift not working but we had been offered an upgrade to compensate. That was certainly welcome. The bedroom was nice and large. There was a huge gap at the top of the door letting light in, our curtains were old, tattered and....

Big room,316, no hot water in bathroom sink, big squeak in floor boards just inside door. Good for security; any intruders foot would awaken you immediately! The front desk was 66 percent pregnant and all the folks were helpful, The cook made good eggs but the toast could only happen on one side. The hotel looks lovely at night. The...

Ok. So some say that this hotel is in the middle of the touristic area and right in front of the night market. Both are true, yet besides location ( which could be argued it's not ideal) the place is below average. It is dirty, unkept, and in need of some love. The breakfast buffet was ok and nothing to...

The hotel has a serious mosquito problem, please invest in some mozzie dispensers. We figured it was because we were so close to the Mekong river..(however, rivers are fast flowing so mozzies don't usually breed in them. Hmm..). We booked 2 rooms, a standard room and a deluxe room, there is no noticeable difference apart from a bit more space...

This hotel is very cheap, and is a great location for tourists. Street-facing rooms have a great view of the night market across the road, the Mekong River behind that. Thailand is also visible on the other side of the river. Within a minute walk there is an abundance of food stores and tourist stores. The room was tidy (although...

I only stayed here for 2 nights but that was 2 nights too long. They put me in the smallest room and there were no screens etc for when you have a shower so water went EVERYWHERE so I also had soggy toilet paper. However, the breakfast provided was ok as was the service.

The hotel is in a good location next to the food vendors by the Mekong and the night market. Our room was large and nicely furnished but the bathroom had blacked drain and was a bit smelly. We only stayed for 1 night. The décor in the public places was off beat with ox blood walls and lots of artefacts....

We had not pre-booked so upon arriving in Vientiane decided to source out 'Lonely Planet's.' pic and asked the taxi driver to drop us off at the Innercity Hotel. We are mid-range travellers and we are happy with clean, cheerful and cheap. What we got was a dingy, slighty grubby room with the smallest shower imaginable. My husband is not...
