We stayed in Altyn hotel just for one night and then moved elsewhere. The room we were given was dirty, hair, dust and bits of food everywhere and a condom box underneath the bed. Staff unfriendly and not helpful. It is probably ok to stay there if you do not have anywhere esle or you are keen on location as...

More of a guesthouse/apartment than a hotel, it was adequate for our stay. Loved the location, across from the Russian Embassy (and Sierra Coffee!) and close to the center. Nothing special, but the rooms were clean and adequately furnished. The staff were less than helpful, but did the minimum required. There are better options, but the location was what I...

Arrived early in the morning. The lady at the reception (had to wake her up) tried to charge me more than 150 USD for a room that was priced 70 USD on the list. On the basis of own past experience I can safely say that the Kyrgyz Altyn Hotel is certainly not on the same level of luxury as some of Bishkek's other hotels, such as the Silk Road Lodge or the Pinara Hotel.
