It might just be difficult to find a good and cheap place in Phnom Phen, Sunday guesthouse was cheap enough, but not really clean nor were the staff particularly friendly. Stayed in a double bed room with fan for two nights. Upon arrival we found out the bathroom was not cleaned, sink was leaking, no sheets for cover during the...

We had 5 nights here and our stay was very pleasant. It is run but a nice family who are friendly and helpful. We only paid $8 for a double room with private en-suite, hot water, fan, good wifi and TV. It is in a great local area where you can walk around the small streets and experience real local...

(To start, I'm going to use "great" a lot. Thats just the best way to describe the place.) The staff was great and very helpful- but not overly so. The location was easy to get to, from and around. Rooms were great and had a cool little balcony community area. And all that for a great price. Took me a...

Based on the "our pick" in Lonely Planet, we booked to stay here. The rooms are clean but in real need of an upgrade and incredibly basic. To be this far out of town it needs to be cheaper: it's $2 into town, and $2 back (2 people), adding at least $4 onto the price of the room! The staff...

Rooms are pretty big, staff very helpfull, but we had a feeling we were overcharched. We're not sure off course, but we felt the owner/manager tried to book us on pricier tours and busses. Still, had a nice time. I would reccommend it as a good value for money type of place.

If you are looking for a good cheap budget guesthouse then this place would suit you. Staff were friendly and the rooms were clean enough but for the price, you can not complain. I would definitely stay here again the time I am in town.

Arriving via the night bus from Siep Ream and the excellent hostel there, I was disappointed but too knackered to troop down the stairs to do anything about it. No plug in sink, holes in mosquito mesh covering window, dodgy electrics and sadly no hot water. Room was clean enough. We did use our mozzi nets. Not particularly friendly though...

Sunday Guesthouse was a nice place to stay in Phnom Penh. There are plenty of similar options and we didn't bother to compare, so here is a breakdown of what we liked and what we didn't like so much: + price + big beds + good food + organized tours + nice hangout area + nice family - low shower...

Everyone has different experiences so perhaps we were just unlucky. We found the guesthouse out of the way, run by unfriendly staff happy to take money without being helpful, and worst of all - dirty. Our bedsheets and towels were stained and smelled, the room was not cleaned well, toilet did not always flush, the sink dripped. We were asked...

I stayed here for 2 nights with 2 friends, one male and one female. We had a triple room with a/c and a hot shower. We were all very impressed with the family orientated feel from the hostel. Nothing was too much trouble. We had even seen a restaurant we wanted to visit that the tuk tuk drivers couldn't find...
