We stayed for two nights 9th & 10th November. The hotel is gorgeous, staff lovely, breakfast perfect. Good sized rooms, we had our own outside terrace, which was private, the pool area is beautiful. All in all a great choice of hotel, we would certainly recommend it. Oh and also in a great location for the Palace.

Was looking forward and excited for my stay at the Pavilion based on the good reviews and found it below average. Reaching the reception I was carrying my luggage (only one guy to carry only my wife's luggage) in front of all laying guest through the pool area to the reception. Looking forward to be led to our room, it...

Dear Guest, I am verry sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the Pavilion. I know the garden bungalow is not as nice as the other rooms and this is why it is sold half the price of the best ones.It is difficult to have more than one porter at the entry to carry the luggage of the guests...

This hotel has the "WOW" factor loved it from the moment I arrived - the smell of Lemongrass (my favourite) seems to be everywhere and has an amazing effect on you. We had a pool room and I would say It is worth it - relaxing by your own pool with a glass of wine unwinding from a busy day...

I'm happy to join the chorus of voices singing the praises of The Pavilion. I stayed there six nights over a three week period in October/November. It was really a great experience. A small number of guests, happy, polite staff, comfortable rooms and a sense of calm and harmony which seduces you the minute you enter the front gate made...

We loved this hotel and agree with so many of others comments. Great location a few mins walk from the Royal Palace and "embassy row". Almost discreet entrance, but that leads onto the great pool area. Top notch service from the booking through to check-in and beyond. We paid $95 a night inc breakfast but that included the private pool...

When you walk in through the quietly tucked in wooded door, its a cool green paradise that awaits. Its a beautiful contrast to the dust, grime and humidity on the outside. Extremely friendly staff, they are ready to accommodate all your queries, concerns and worries. A very beautiful, well done up room was waiting for us. They even pack food...

What a joy it was to stay at this hotel it has a Colonial style and feel about it, the rooms, food and staff were so friendly. The restaurant was situated around the pool surround by tree which added to its glamour. It was close to shops and not far from the river. Would definitely recommend this hotel for couples and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It all started when we fell in love with a hidden gem of French-Khmer architecture from the 1920s near Wat Botum, one of the most venerable and original pagodas in Phnom Penh. Renovation and remodeling were led with due respect for the character of a building which had been, as we learnt it later on, a private retreat for Queen Consort Sisowath Kossamak, the late King Sihanouk's mother. Opened on August, 18, 2006 with 10 rooms, The Pavilion has slowly expanded over the years, offering now 36 accommodations throughout three more period buildings that have been added to the property: "The New House", former residence of the chief veterinarian at the Royal Palace; "The New Villa", formerly the private residence of a Cambodian senator, and "The Sun-Pool Villa", our latest addition which used to be lodgings for diplomats based in Phnom Penh. Each one has its own style and atmosphere, with distinctive architectural features such as an elaborate wooden stairway, intricate iron wrought railings, etc… ... more   less
