Beautiful place, very comfortable. Two fantastic pools (actually there may have been more but that is all we saw). We had a little private garden as well. Very atmospheric. And helpful, friendly and courteous staff. Highly recommended. I am glad we were delivered there by a guide as the outside gave NO idea of the delights within! It was like walking into Paradise!!
This is a pretty hotel with a good breakfast but they have a few issues to sort out. Noise travels easily between rooms so you can hear people in an adjacent room turning on the lights, using the toilet and running the AC. This doesn't lead to a good night's sleep. The power points are in the wrong place so you end up charging your phone in the bathroom.
We stayed there twice during our stay in Cambodia. Especially the larger rooms are very charming and comfortable. The main part of the hotel is an old villa and it is an oasis of calmness, beauty and style in a very central location.
This is truly your perfect oasis in Phnom Penh. It’s in a great central area within walking distance of many tourist attractions and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and decorated with charm. Filtered water is always available so you can refill your water bottle. Service is excellent and the breakfast is delicious. I usually opted for the Khmer soup.
If you are looking for a great location, hidden oasis with some old world charm this hotel is for you. We stayed for 5 nights and will be returning two more times during our time in Cambodia. Staff is very warm and welcoming. Food was very good at Breakfast and Dinner. Love this place!
Have just spent 3 weeks travelling Cambodia and used The Pavilion as our Phnom Penh hub hotel. We stayed here 3 times for a total of 5 nights - and we loved it. It’s friendly, the staff are professional, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The facilities are good. The food is high quality and reasonably priced. The location is great and as other reviews allude to - it’s an oasis in the city! The breakfast is particularly noteworthy. There is a small clean gym that is functional and the sun pool is a great place to relax/read a book. Some major attractions are within walking distance. I hope to return and strongly recommend this hotel to anyone of any age visiting PP.
In November we were able to re visit our favourite hotel in the world, the Pavilion. The welcome is always warm and arriving at the white elephants at the entrance feels like coming home. The rooms here are all different and all lovely with always somewhere to relax on a terrace or balcony. We try to stay in either room 7 or 8 but have stayed in many others. I love to sit on the balcony with the fan on and just absorb the calm atmosphere.Breakfast is filling and you have a variety of dishes to choose from. We ate some evening meals here too and were very satisfied with our choices. We were very well looked after and we will be back staying at Pavilion again whilst we visit our family in Phnom Penh.
Had a quick 2 night stay here - Nice hotel setting, comfortable large clean room. Booked a ground floor room but was given a room on the second floor; nice big balcony with this room but seemed a bit on the dark side inside the room. Unfortunately did not have enough time to enjoy the 2 pools. Breakfast was sufficient. The hotel provided airport pickup service, and booked our driver for the day tour to the Genocide museum, killing fields, and the Russian market. The only negative comment is the clunky ceiling fan in our room…But wouldn’t impact my review of this nice hotel.
Our two night stay at Pavilion Hotel was great. The staff was attentive, the room comfortable and the pool was enjoyable. Also the location near street 240, the royal palace and the waterfront was awesome. The only downside was that the breakfast was a bit mediocre - we just ate a bit at the hotel to try it but otherwise mainly ate outside the hotel in the city itself.
The gardens, pools, rooms, bathrooms and buildings are so unique and beautiful. The artefacts tastefully dotted around the property really make it. It’s an oasis in the heart of the city and we will stay again. The staff are helpful, kind and resourceful. The resident tortoiseshell cat, Bella, is a sweetie and e we enjoyed our chats with wait staff and desk staff.
