No doubt the FCC Hotel has an interesting history. It has a great location, with a view of the busy Tonle Sap River, surrounded by shops and restaurants. However, its colonial charm is a bit worn; in addition, the traffic on Sisowath Street is a lot heavier and therefore noisier than before. Having said that, we still had a very...

After reading the reviews and being intrigued about the history of the FCC we booked a few nights here at the start of our Cambodia trip. The hotel is in a good location on the tourist strip overlooking the river and close to the Royal Palace. Back in the day this would have been a wonderful place to stay, but...

Spent a night in FCC. Hotel was very charming colonial style with perfect views on to the Mekong River. Food was excellent in the bar both at dinner and breakfast. You won't want a modern hotel after staying here.

Charming nine room hotel on the first floor below their restaurant and bar. Has history that adds to the charm..but also has a very noisy street, adjacent bars, a bar about the rooms...it's amazingly noisy...like crazy noisy all night long and all they have to do is spend the money to sound proof their windows. There is no charm in...

Location: Fabulous - just overlooking the river. The Waterfront is superb for long walks! Restaurants: Part of the hotel: Very nice food and good views. It is a not a 'fancy' 'luxury' hotel. It is a hotel with 'charm' - quite messy in certain places (lack of a fancy reception) - but then the old world charm and the basic...

Booked a non smoking balcony room with expansive river views and was delighted with the views from the room they provided. Very hot most times on the balcony but constant human and vehicular movement just below my room and an overhead fan made for an unforgettable cultural experience on the balcony. My room was kept nice and cold and made...

After reading Lonely Planet's recommendations and FCC's website, I was excited to stay at this supposedly charming, quaint, and historic hotel. In reality, the hotel turned out to be dingy, tired, and lacking any charm at all. First, the check in process. Completely odd, in that there is no hotel lobby. Just a desk in a hallway after coming up...

We were told this was a great place for Happy Hour and to people watch. About 5 mins after we arrived the heavens opened so we watched a huge rain storm come and then go. Drinks were cheap and delicious (try the Ginger Rogers) and the food was good and reasonable. Great night out.

I stayed at the foreign Correspondents Club and I had a room facing the river with a balcony ... I did not know much about the place and when I arrived late at night it seemed a little dodgy. However, the room, bed and aircon were great. I loved the bath/shower which has a patina of age to it which...
