The Mulia Hotel is a basic hotel near to the airport, which is ideal for a layover. Shuttle bus was easily available and the driver helpful. The check in process was quick and welcoming. The room was spacious enough and the bed comfortable. The water was clear (I saw previous reviews) and the room clean. The food in the restaurant is basic but you can find something on the menu to suit your palette. I ate in the chinese restaurant on the 1st floor once which I found expensive for what your get. Breakfast is very basic so do not expect much choice.

My shower and bath water was consistently brown, the food was terrible and disgusting, the room and hotel needs an urgent decor update. Avoid this place at all costs as you’ll be disappointed. Big changes needed at this hotel

The hotel is good for an overnight stay, close to the airport. nothing to brag about. The buffet breakfast was more than sufficient and can get quite busy. The airport shuttle had to wait for the passengers who got delayed at custom and a group of about 20 of us had to wait for over 1 hour which was not pleasant for such late hours.

This place is set up for the Chinese tour Bus crowds.Chinese buffet meals which is all that is offered no al a carte menu was offered and when I asked for a plain omelette from breakfast from the cook he told me to eat what was out on the buffet which was nothing! The tour group had eaten all of the food and the staff obviously did not want to prepare any more food. Lunch same thing, dinner same again. There is no other places to eat and no taxi's to get out of the place. I'm not sure who has written these other reviews it seems like they might work there or something. Upside was the staff at the front desk and the rooms were of good size. Catering needs a full overhaul.

Since 1st January 2020 we have our new set of ala carte menu at our Goldiana Restaurant, during breakfast we served buffet breakfast in the restaurant, our egg station counter is at our open kicthen area. We do not served any promotional Lunch Buffet and Dinner buffet at the restaurant, we only do served ala carte menu. This is a nice traditional hotel though I find the toilet & TV old I know that this hotel used to have its glory days. I like the homey feeling because of the staff service. I heard that Brunei is focusing on tourism so this hotel being the partner of the airline gives you an idea of the level of quality the country is working on achieving. I'd say there are improvements that can be done as a country prepares for tourists e.g. Malls, entertainment, cultural shows but they are doing a good job with what they currently offer (hotels/tours/museums/sightseeing destinations).

Complimentary hotel provided by the Royal Brunei Airlines.. They offer free breakfast, the food is really nice.. Very convenient, its just 5mins away from the airport, they also provide free airport transfers.. The room is cozy and spacious.. Staff's are pleasant.. It's a great place to stay for a long layover.. Cheers!

A good value, well located hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and found the bedrooms to be of a good size and comfortable. The WiFi was quick - especially after China - and the hotel facilities are fine. A small swimming pool and a couple of restaurants. The food was good and served in large portions. Only 10 minutes to the airport.
