Good Hotel for the price, friendly staff and mid range breakfast, advantage of being in the lovely quiet old city - Içerişaher, metro station is less than ten minutes walking, quite hotel, you'd hardly find as its hidden between small streets of the old city

We booked a twin room at Hotel Giz Galasi for six nights over the F1 weekend. Because the roads were blocked due to the race, we were met by one of the receptionists at the nearest point the car could get, and guided to the hotel. Once there, we were offered a choice of available rooms and a cup of... More

We booked to stay here in Dec 2015 for a June 2016 when we arrived we were put in a different hotel with few of the facilities the accommodation had claimed to have. Instead we had no hot water, the wifi had to be fixed after day 1 and there are no facilities at all. When I went to pay... More

Stayed at giz galasi for f1 weekend. Fantastic location and staff went out of their way to help. Rooms and bathrooms adequate for our needs. Decor tired. I think no a place if you want luxury. Didn't try the breakfast as wasn't up in time. Great little inexpensive restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Overall very impressed with baku. Would stay... More

I spent 15 minutes there and decided to move. It was November 2, +9 outdoors and there was no central heating on. The receptionist told me to use the conditioner, which was ridiculous: the spacious room consisted of 2 parts, the conditioner was near the entrance sitting area, not in the bedroom area. I am not mentioning the bathroom-I would... More

The stay started not friendly at all, since we were asked if we had money to pay for the room several times and in a rude way. Because it got very annoying after the fourth time, we payed in advance (which I find to be very unusual for a hotel). Even after the second try, we did not get the... More

I expected a bit more from room compared to to the price. The furniture in the room looked quite cheap and used, the refrigerator was not turned on and the shower cabinet's door was broken and hanging from the other side only. Maybe the high room price was because of the location which was very good, almost in the center... More

I liked this hotel for 3 things only: 1) The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They spoke English as well. 2) The rooms were reasonably clean. 3) Its location: central and within the old city. Everything else needs improvement: breakfasts, bathrooms, room decor, room equipment, room comfort... Baku lacks quality hotels at this price range but I would... More

This hotel is very well located inside the old city. My room was very spacious (high floor), with high ceiling as well. Everything was clean and simple (only floor carpet requires some renovation), breakfast was nothing special, but OK for a small property - omelett, cornflakes, juice, cheese and ham. They have a pool in the basement - not big,... More
