A surprisingly quiet location just steps away from the bustle of the busy part of town. We appreciated the friendly welcome and cheerful assistance with sightseeing. The room was clean and cool with a lovely little balcony overlooking the quiet lane with its potted plants. Great breakfast included in the price.

After a hard train journey we were nicely welcomed and given a drink of juice which was a nice touch. We stayed in a double standard room, which is exactly what it was. Quite small in area with no cupboards or any real furniture. Our bathroom had no hot water which was annoying, although needed the cool showers at times... More

Friendly, helpful and well spoken staff at reception. The home-made mulberry juice made by the manager's wife was a nice touch upon arrival! The room was big and clean with a nice balcony overlooking the alley. Quiet location for a good night's sleep but also a short walk away from the action of Pham Ngu Lao Road. - The shower... More

We stayed here 2 nights and were very pleased. The location is great - in walking distance to all the restaurants and the Citadel. You should though take a taxi from the train station if arriving in Hue via train, the walk was too long in the heat! The staff was so friendly and they helped with booking tours and... More

The owner, tri, was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived after a long days biking. The room was very clean, with air con, a TV, a balcony and a good shower. You can also rent bikes from this place, and he gave us good tips for things to do and restaurants to try out. The best thing though was... More

The owners are super friendly and very helpful. They have a great breakfast, and gave us advice on where to go and such. The room was nice enough, with great AC. However, the wifi was a bit spotty. Both mornings we had to go down and ask them to "turn on" the internet. After that it usually worked. Our room... More

Everything that has been said about this hotel is true. This is one of the few places in Vietnam where I did not feel like a tourist, but a very important guest. My hotel stay was extended because I got seriously sick. High fever effectively stopped my traveling. A huge commitment and care helped me to exit from the disease.... More

We picked out this place on a whim and where very presently surprised by it, the location down an alley was easy to find and relatively quiet and off the main backpacker strip which was nice but all the bars where still right around the corner. The staff where very friendly and gave great advice on where to go and... More

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Rooms are basic but clean, tvs and air con. Good location with everything nearby except for main tourist sites which are around 5 minute walk. Best thing about this hotel is the staff, very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

I had the pleasure of spending four too short days here in late October. The Guest House itself is very nice, everything works, the location is nice. It's the owners and staff that make Phong Lan really special. From a moto tour, to laundry, help arranging tours, and the breakfast they are the absolute best. I really recommend this guest... More
